White Pine

It looks like an actual winter-like day today! Another inch of fresh snow with some breeze and additional snowflakes this morning. We are packing and grooming the 3km and Armstrong this morning. The Armstrong Loop is quite good with a bit more snow on it. Both trails will be skiable today and colder temperatures should help out keeping the snow around and the surface soft and creamy.
We still have a mixed bag of slush and grassy areas right underneath the new snow, so pay attention. The best skiing will be all day today. Skating will be slow but pretty good. Classic skiing will be quite good today as well. There will be some glaze in the classic tracks due to the high moisture below. We have icy patches, grassy patches, exposed pavement and wet areas under the snow and near the trail so keep your eyes open, stay alert and ski safely. It might be busy so ski to the right and share the trails.
Please check in at the Nordic Center for any updates from the Magic 8 Ball. The 5k, Dog Loop and Farm are CLOSED. Wax will be blue/violet with structure today for kick and glide. Well-waxed fish scales or skin skis for classic are also recommended.
Please be aware of any icy or wet patches near the trails, on any pavement and on walkways. Walk with care in your ski boots and use the handrail on the stairs. Please no walking, dogs, running, cycling, driving or trespassing on the trails. When you need to take a physical and/or mental therapy getaway or a much needed break from the news we’re here for you. It will be a perfect day to drop off your skis for a warm wax spa treatment to keep you gliding. Sip a steaming mug of Joy, bundle up, venture boldly out on the trails, be safe and be kind. Thank you for being part of our wonderful ski community and being patient enough to read all the way down here to far end of the trail report! The snow bunnies and ducks are cautiously out enjoying the weather while the hawks soar overhead. Drop in the store to say hi, shop the 40% off sale and visit for a while. Everyone ski safe and grab some winter while you can!

Our spring sale continues! All remaining skis, boots, poles and clothing 40% off marked prices. High performance spray and powder waxes (except Toko Jet) and Toko and Swix iron-in waxes are 40% off. We strongly recommend stopping in the shop BEFORE you head out on the trails when we have these changing Spring conditions. Everyone ski safe and aware!
