The Payson Forebay Nordic Trails feature a mix of open flats and gradual elevation changes surrounding the Forebay area connecting with Payson Canyon Forest service trails. The Forebay groomed trails are well-suited for beginner to intermediate skiers looking for a quieter setting and scenic winter views. For those looking for a longer or more challenging excursion, the connecting Payson Canyon groomed trails head to Maple Lake and Pete Winward Reservoir.
There is no daily fee to use Payson Forebay Nordic Trails. Dogs permitted. Please be considerate of other users.

5 mile loop following canyon road Taking Maple Lake turnoff
8 to 10 mile loop following canyon road taking turn off to Pete Winward.
The Maple Lake, Forebay trail and golf course trail will be groomed 3 times per week, weather permitting. The Pete Winward trail will be groomed on Mondays
