Submission Guidelines for TUNA NEWS
Dear Writer,
I have only a few guidelines for submission that are probably old news. This will make editing, proofing and layout easy for Suzi and me.
- 500-1000 words
- Text only (no formatting) in Word, Google Doc, or just an email. No Mac Pages because it won’t open for me. Our designer will make it look great!
- Photos as a separate file, filename can be the caption. Example: “Groomer Jerry Richardson chases Sam Wolfe.jpg”
- See photo guidelines – we have to have the highest quality files, or they will not print well.
- No AI-generated articles or photos. AI uses an immense amount of energy, which stands in opposition to the climate protection we need as skiers. We have an editor to polish and correct your words while maintaining your voice.
Articles may be edited for space, but will maintain the intended purpose and voice of the writer.
Some articles are going to take priority over others, but we will make our best effort to get everything into the issue where it fits. If an article has a general appeal and is not time-sensitive, it may be saved for a later issue.
Thank you in advance for your diverse and exciting stories. It takes everyone to make that trip to the mailbox exciting once a month!
