A HUGE THANK YOU to our groomer, staff and ski community volunteer shoveling teams who’ve spent hours out on the trails making your skiing possible. It’s difficult work and they give their all to make the trails great.
Thursday Haiku:
Come ski the snow trail,
3k is so very good,
Hard work makes fun snow
The magic 8 ball is still being coy about any snow coming. The trail will be very firm and cold most of the day with a nice freshly groomed powdery skate surface on the 3k “Community Loop.” Enjoy the results of our work out there and please no walking, littering or dogs on the trails. Cold nights are helping keep the snow around and warm afternoon temperatures haven’t been causing too much havoc. We’ll definitely be open and skiing well through the weekend now with some cooling temperatures.
Blue or purple wax today with base structure and SPF 30+ for skate and classic. The 3km loop remains a solid loop laced with freshly groomed snow. The 3km is OPEN with good coverage due to the heroic community and staff shoveling efforts. We groomed a skate lane refresh on the 3km “Community Loop” again last night. Classic tracks are skier set adjacent to most of the loop and skiing well.
The 5km Loop, Armstrong, Dog Loop and Farm trails are CLOSED. Skiing will be quite good again all day today. Ski with attention and caution on the firm trails. There are unmarked hazards and the afternoon sun will start to deteriorate exposed parts of the track a bit. We are OPEN 9-5 today offering lessons, rentals of skis and snowshoes. Drop in the shop, visit for a while, purchase your trail pass and ski! Join us for snow dances, offerings to the snow deities and ski yoga every evening at sunset out on the deck. It will be a lovely day for skiing, wrap up early, peel off layers as needed and lace together a few laps! Ski now whilst we have it, the next storm will arrive eventually… someday…
