The 3km is OPEN with good coverage due to the incredible community and staff shoveling efforts and skillful grooming. Our groomers refreshed the skate surface last night on the 3km “Community Loop.” Casual classic tracks are skier set adjacent to most of the loop and skiing fairly well. Off trail classic skiing remains good on the crust.
Another cold overnight but already warming a bit today. The firm dry base with may transform some with the chance of some moisture this afternoon. Please no walking or dogs or walking of dogs on the trails. We’ll definitely be open and skiing well through the week. Warming temperatures this week may affect the trail conditions and bring up some icy patches from below. Blue wax early today with base structure, purple/red wax from midday depending on which phase of water falls from the sky this afternoon.
The 5km Loop, Armstrong, Dog Loop and Farm trails are CLOSED.
Ski with attention and caution on the firm trails. There are unmarked hazards. We are OPEN 9-5 today offering lessons, rental skis, and snowshoes. Drop in the shop, purchase your trail pass and go outside to play! Drop off your skis after your workout for a relaxing spa treatment.
Join us for snow dance rehearsals, offerings to Ullr, beverages and bunny spotting every evening at sunset. It will be a lovely, slightly blustery day for skiing. Ski with style, lace up your boots and loop together some fun laps! Ski it while we have it, the next real storm will arrive eventually… someday…in the future…maybe…we’ll see…still believing…fingers crossed…looking to the sky…
Wednesday Haiku:
Dry January,
Who knew it was literal,
Pray for snow someday
