A sunny bluebird day coming up. 15 degrees at 7 am with a couple of inches of fresh snow overnight. Yesterday was cold and breezy but today it should be much calmer. The snow bunnies will be happier today hiding by the trails. We’re still doing snow-saving grooming and resetting classic tracks on all 20km! Classic will be good today. Conditions will be staying firm through the day after the chilly night. Watch for a couple of chunky or icy areas from all the moisture that was in the snow from Thursday and Friday. Skiing should be good all day for skate and classic. Stay flexible, aware and ski with Joy! The 5km, 3km and Armstrong loops will be maintenance groomed first today with classic set. The Farm and Dog Loop will be groomed right after. Ski the Farm with care, it was a bit chunky in a few places from the wet storm this week and then drifted a bit out there yesterday with a few spots thinned by the wind. Please purchase your pass and wear it. Watch for elk on the Farm. Come share the Joy of skiing! Red/purple wax and structure today. Please continue to be aware, careful and ski within your abilities. Ride the bus, micro transit, carpool, skateboard, cycle, e-bike or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips helps!
