One more week….
Another beautiful spring morning to welcome our 124th day on snow this season! Cold overnight with sun and much warming through the day. Crust skiing will be very good this morning, skating early will be firm and fast with firm classic track in place. Fast and spicy early skiing. SPF 50 and a ball cap are recommended beach wear today. WE ARE OPEN AND GROOMING UNTIL APRIL 10th! Come out and show your support for locally owned and operated cross country skiing. Your support helps us keep equipment running and helps pay our rent to Park City. We will not be grooming the Farm today. It’s in decent shape and we’re trying to save the snow a bit. 3k, 5k and Armstrong are groomed and track set today. Skating later in the day will be slow, potentially sticky unless your skis are well waxed and structured. Please ski before 3 today if you possibly can. We are fighting the sun and the Gobi desert dust from last month to keep the 5k open. Deep ruts and slush late in the day. There are icy/thin spots lurking in exposed areas, near the ponds and under the trees especially on the 5km, so ski with awareness and some caution near those. Help us remind people that the ski trails are for skiing. All 20km of trails are still open today. Skating and Classic skiing will soften with the heat of the spring sun but you should find a sweet little window of fun. Great ski time will be from 10:00-2:00 today. Red/Blue or violet wax and structure today. Yellow wax and flat skis for the afternoon. Please be aware of golf course work on the greens, changing conditions and be mindful and ski within your abilities. Come play outside then drop in the shop to say hello and wrap your hands around a great deal on gear and clothing at our annual clearance sale. Have a joy-filled beach ski day and keep an eye out for the sandhill cranes.
LAST DROP-OFF DAY FOR SUMMER STORAGE WAX IS APRIL 9TH. YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR SKIS BEFORE 5:00PM APRIL 10TH. WE’LL SCRAPE AND BRUSH THEM IN THE FALL FOR YOU!
We are OPEN (weather permitting) through Wednesday April 10th! We’re staying open while we host a celebration of XC ski areas from across North America! Snow coverage has remained very good and we want to keep you skiing in town. Help us keep grooming by showing your support and getting out here to ski!
