The countdown rolls on. Five more days to go. 127/131 days on snow so far for the season. A beautiful winter morning to welcome our 127th day on snowy trails this season! 4-5 inches of snow so far and it’s expected to trail off later in the day. The on-going enigma of spring skiing weather. Everything, everyday all at once. Come out and show your support for locally owned and operated cross country skiing. 3k and Armstrong are groomed and track set today. we’ll get to the 5k afterwards for almost 10k of skiing open today. Pay attention while you’re skiing. Skating will be slow and potentially sticky unless your skis are well waxed and structured. There are icy/thin spots lurking in exposed areas, near the ponds and under the trees especially on the 5km. A short walk near the cottages will get you to really nice skiing on the far reaches of the 5k. Ski with awareness and some caution near those. Skating and Classic skiing will be pretty amazing for April and you should find a sweet little window of fun this weekend. Great ski time will be from 9:00-5:00 today. Red/Blue or violet wax and structure. Please be mindful and ski within your abilities. Come play outside then glide into the shop to say hello and check out our ski wall. Bolt for the remaining clothes, skis and poles and grab a great deal at our annual clearance sale. Have a joy-filled snowy ski day, focus on taking care of the important bits and keep an eye out for our demo snowcats. We’ll be having snowcat demos at the farm Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, so don’t be surprised if you see an all electric snowcat and 4-5 other snowcats lay down some beautiful track on the farm during the week.
