Our final Sunday of the season and it is WINTER! The countdown rolls on. Four more days to go. 128/131 days on snow so far for the season. An ethereal winter morning to welcome our 128th day on snowy trails this season! Over 6 inches of soft cold snow yesterday and overnight will make for a quintessential nordic experience today. The on-going enigma of spring skiing weather. Everything, every day all at once. Come out and show your support for locally owned and operated cross country skiing. 3k, 5k, the Farm and Armstrong will groomed and track set today. Pay attention while you’re skiing. Skating will be slow. soft and potentially sticky unless your skis are well waxed and structured. There are icy/thin spots lurking under the snow in exposed areas, near the ponds and under the trees especially on the 5km. Ski with awareness and some caution near those.
Skating and Classic skiing will be pretty amazing for April and you should find a sweet little window of fun today. Great ski time will be from 9:00-5:00 today. Red/Blue or violet wax and structure. Please be mindful and ski within your abilities. Come play outside then glide into the shop to say hello and check out our ski wall. Clearance continues on our the remaining clothes, skis and poles. Glide in and clasp your hands on a great deal at our annual clearance sale. Have a joy-filled snowy ski day, focus on taking care of the important bits and keep an eye out for bashful bunnies and our demo snowcats. We’ll be having snowcat demos at the farm Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, so don’t be surprised if you see an all electric snowcat and 4-5 other snowcats lay down some beautiful track on the farm during the week.
