COUNTERCLOCKWISE SKIING TODAY ON THE 3Km. THIS MEANS GOIING TO THE RIGHT AS YOU ENTER THE TRAIL. We have changed to directional travel to reduce potential conflicts on the narrow sections of trail. Please ski with kindness and make room for everyone.
We shoveled tons of snow on the 3k loop over the last three days to help us stay open through Christmas. More of that hard work today, so be sure to stop and thank the people how are working to keep you skiing. You could even stop and help for that warm holiday glow.
Just a touch up groom this morning in order to save snow depth. The surface this morning is good and the very short period of cold overnight was helpful. The surface will be softening through the day. Best skiing will be from 9:30 to about 1 pm today on red or purple wax. If the trail is softening significantly, please switch to classic skiing. Please ski early if you are able to. 3km “Community Loop” is open. The counterclockwise gliding will be quite good today if your skis are waxed and ready. The 5 km “Pond Loop” remains closed. Be very aware of thin spots and cart paths and big surface gaps if you venture out. The 5km side is only for the intrepid and rock skis. The penalty for catching an edge on the cart path is high. Our hours are 9am to 5pm daily. You must have a trail pass purchased and displayed to access our trails. Everyone please ski counterclockwise and share the trail with happiness, Joy and good spirits. Greet the hardworking staff and your fellow skiers and keep an eye out for the ermine, snow bunnies and patches of grass along the edge. Thank you for being part of our amazing community! Ski Safe!
We are fully stocked with everything you need for your Nordic adventures. From gear to clothes, beanies to gloves. The gift of a ski lesson is always the right size and lasts a lifetime. Stop in, say Hi and check out the store! We’ll be closing at 3pm on December 24th, Open 10-3 on Christmas day.
There are a few shovels and scoops on the 3km trail. Enjoy some cross training and toss a couple of scoops of snow on to the thin spots. You’ll be stronger, get great feeling of being part of our wonderful ski community and also help the track last longer. Even a few scoops will fill your heart and your trail with Joy and the trail with the good stuff.
Our first Toko wax clinic of the season is Friday January 3rd at 3:30pm at the Nordic Center. Learn basic glide wax and skin ski care from our experts. $10 fee and discounts on wax products after the clinic. Also a drawing for a pair of Rossignol ski poles!
Welcome to the unofficial Community Center of Park CIty. This season is White Pine’s 47th on the Park City Golf Course and we’re proud of our 53 years as a locally owned and operated business in Park City. Shop Local, Ski Local. A proud part of the Jans family. Our partnership with Park City and the community runs deep. It is very rare to have such an incredible year-round community resource right in town.
