White Pine

In the words of the Brothers Gibb, we are “Stayin Alive” We received another 3 inches of lifeline overnight with some slight drifting and breeze this morning. We are lightly packing and grooming the 3km and Armstrong this morning. Armstrong is pretty good with a bit more snow on it. Both trails will be skiable today and colder temperatures should help out keeping the snow around. We still have a mixed bag of slush and grassy areas right underneath the surface today so ski carefully. The best skiing will be from about 10 until 4 today. Skating will be soft but pretty good if the snow bonded well to the old surface. We recommend skiing classic if you come out to keep from damaging the trail and your skis. We have icy patches, grassy patches, exposed pavement and wet areas under the snow and near the trail so keep your eyes open, stay alert and ski safely.
Please check in at the Nordic Center for any updates from the Magic 8 Ball.
The 5k, Dog Loop and Farm are CLOSED. Keep an eye out for icy patches and water hazards flowing above and below the surfaces. Wax will be violet with structure today for kick and glide. Well-waxed fish scales or skin skis for classic are recommended. Please be aware of any icy or wet patches near the trails, on any pavement and on walkways. Walk with care in your ski boots and use the handrail on the stairs.
Please no walking, dogs, running, cycling, driving or trespassing on the trails. When you need to take a physical and/or mental therapy getaway or a much deserved break from the news cycle we’re here for you. It will be a perfect day to drop off your skis for a warm wax spa treatment before the weekend. Sip a warm mug of Joy, venture boldly outside, be safe and be kind out there. Thank you for being part of our wonderful ski community and reading all the way down here to the end of the trail report. The snow bunnies and ducks are out enjoying the weather.
