We have a TOKO Wax clinic Sunday today at 3:30 at the Nordic Center. Come in a learn the basics of ski base and skin care from our experts. $10 cover charge at the door with discounts on waxes and accessories after the clinic. There may be a prize giveaway too!
Continued Spring conditions, trails will be firm and cold all day. We have a lot of skiers and about 8km total open. Be friendly out there and please no walking or dogs on the trails. Cold nights are helping keep the snow around but moderating warm afternoon temperatures are keeping it good.
Blue or purple wax today all day with SPF 50+ for skate and classic.
The 3km loop remains full encased in snow and open with good coverage due to some heroic shoveling efforts. We groomed a skate lane refresh on the 3km “Community Loop”, the near side of the 5km “Pond Loop” and Armstrong access last night. Detours are in place and a short walk is required to connect the two halves of the 5k. The outer part of the 5km will not be regroomed until we get more snow. We cannot safely get the equipment out there while protecting the golf course.
Ski with awareness, patience and focus. Skiing will be good all day today. We have disappearing glazed classic track throughout the network. Armstrong access is packed and OPEN to the field but thin and exposed beyond that. Ski with caution on the firm trails. There are unmarked hazards and the afternoon sun will start to deteriorate exposed parts of the track further. The Farm and Dog Loop ski trails remain closed.
We are OPEN 9-5 today offering lessons, rentals of skis and snowshoes. Drop in the shop, purchase your trail pass and ski today! Snow dances are nightly at sunset on the deck. It will be a lovely sunny day for skiing, wrap up early, peel off layers as needed and go play on the snow! Ski now, the next storm will arrive in the future.
