White Pine

Our phones are down again this morning. If you need to reach us, please email us at experts@whitepinetouring.com or leave us a message at the Bonanza WPT store so they can relay it to us. Their number is 435-649-8710 Thank you!

We are fully stocked with everything you need for your Nordic adventure from gear to clothes, beanies to gloves. The gift of a ski lesson is always the right size and lasts a lifetime. Stop in, say Hi and check out the store! We’ll be closing at 3pm on December 24th, Open 10-3 on Christmas day.

Another warm spring-like day on the trails today. We did not regroom overnight in order to save snow depth. The surface this morning is very good and the cold overnight was helpful. The surface will be softening through the day. Best skiing from 9:30 to about 1 pm today. If the trail is softening significantly, please switch to classic skiing. Please ski early if you are able to. We’re solidly back to snow saving and shoveling mode. 3km “Community Loop” is open with shallow classic track set yesterday. The skiing will be quite good today if your skis are waxed and ready. The 5 km “Pond Loop” is still closed and will not be improving in the coming days. The off-track snow on the 5k is good and we packed the trail surface to try to preserve the base. Be aware of thin spots and cart paths just under surface if you venture out. The 5km side is only for the intrepid and rock skis given the thin conditions and unmarked hazards. The penalty for catching an edge on the cart path can be significant. Check your bases and get some fresh red wax on for better glide.

Our hours are 9am to 5pm daily. You must have a trail pass purchased and displayed to access our trails. Your support helps us provide free and discounted skiing for youth programs, disabled skiers, veterans and other local communities. Everyone please ski filled with happiness and the Joy of being outside, walk carefully to the trail, greet the staff and your fellow skiers and keep an eye out for the ermine and snow bunnies. Thank you for being part of the hard but rewarding work that has kept this community resource open for almost 50 years!

The Wasatch Citizens Series classic race scheduled for Saturday at the Farm has been postponed. We’ll find a replacement weekend later in the winter with a bit more snow. Everyone have a safe holiday season and we’ll see you at the January races!
