A beautiful bluebird day coming on! We’ll have the rare combination of winter snow conditions in mid-March today. We received about 4 inches of new snow once yesterday’s wind settled and the snow fell vertically for a few hours. We’ll groom the 3km and Armstrong trails today and reset classic track. The trail below the new snow is in solid shape so skiing should be very good today. The 3km, Practice Loop and Armstrong trails will be open today. Trails will have smooth soft surface with the colder temperatures. Air temperatures will rise to above freezing and the snow will stay cold, so skiing will be consistent all day. There are icy patches, grassy patches, exposed pavement and wet areas lurking under the new snow and near the trail so keep your eyes open, stay alert and ski safely.
The CLOSED ropes are still up and wrapped around the 5k, Dog Loop and Farm. Wax will be blue/violet with structure today for both kick and glide. Polishing, spraying or dripping some fresh wax on the tips and tails of your equipment will improve your glide and your skiing pleasure.
Please be cautious of any icy or wet patches near the trails, on any pavement and on walkways. Walk with care in your ski boots and use the handrail on the stairs. Please no walking, dogs, running, cycling, driving or trespassing on the trails. If you need to take a therapeutic physical and/or mental getaway or a much needed break from the daily news cycle we’re here for you. It will be a great afternoon to drop off your skis for a hot wax spa treatment to keep you gliding or even a storage wax if you’re about done for the season.

We strongly recommend stopping in the shop BEFORE you head out on the trails when we have these variable Spring conditions.
