Main, Mitten, top of LollyPop, WiggleRoom, Boomerang and Kids Cutoff groomed for skating this morning. Some new classic set but limited due to icey conditions underneath new snow. Overall good skiing but watch for few thin and icey spots. Enjoy!!

White Pine

Everything is open for skiing! 3k, 5k, dog loop, Armstrong pasture and the Farm. Ski with care and courtesy during this busy time. Help us remind walkers, dog owners, runners and fat bikers that there are amazing trails nearby designed for those activities. We even have a new trail brochure to help people find the right places to recreate. Come in and get one to share with a friend. All the gear is here, but it won’t last long. Stay safe and get outside!

Mark and Nils groomed Mountain Dell this morning and as of 9 A.M. it was snowing lightly. Conditions are good. Main, Mitten, Kids cutoff, Park Road Bypass, Boomerang, Wiggle room and Lolli-top are all groomed and open .

We will be opening additional trails as coverage allows.

Wild winter weather overnight brought 3-4″ on the golf course. Not enough to groom but Thursday I will ski classic and make my own tracks. I hope the next round of small storms will put us over the top so we can roll the track and start to develop a base. Long term forecasts look favorable. Stay tuned.

Solitude Nordic

Hello from the Solitude Nordic Center! We are excited to kick off the season with the snow that we have received so far. The lake flat trail up by the Nordic Center is groomed for classic by the snowmobile only. The Big, little, and mid Redman have been groomed with the snow-cat this morning. Hopefully after this storm tomorrow we will be able to groom most trail by snow-cat. I will post as soon as that happens, but until then enjoy the redmans; grooming looks nice today down there for skate only in the Redmans. Tomorrow I will add some classic tracks for y’all down in the Redmans!

Mountain Dell

Mountain Dell received approximately 6″ of fresh snow this morning and conditions are the best they’ve been all season. Groomed Main and Mitten for skate and classic and we’ll be working on trying to get more open. Looking for more snow later this week so we can open more trails.

White Pine

Skating on the 3 and 5k will be good early today. The warm and wind yesterday did reduce snow depth so ski aware. A warmish morning to start out with winds increasing throughout the day. Classic track not reset overnight. It may be a great afternoon to drop in, pick up your season pass and check out the latest youth and adult ski arrivals. Snow late tonight is eagerly anticipated. Stay safe and please mask up in the shop. We want to enjoy the holidays with our families too.

Jerry and Paul groomed this morning. Fresh skate on Main, short Mitten, Kids, Wiggle Room, Boomerang. We closed Lollitop, as it is down to pavement in one corner. Very warm ground with an insulating layer of snow is making for challenging grooming conditions, as the snow is melting out from below.

White Pine

No new snow overnight. 3k and 5k have been freshened up a bit. Skiing has been great! Coverage remains thin in places so keep your ski flat and your eyes forward. Ski at your own risk on the Armstrong Snow Pasture. Farm has been rolled but there is not enough snow to safely ski on. Be patient.

28 degrees at 7 am
32 degrees at 9 am

Skate and classic set Sunday morning on Main, Mitten, Wiggle Room, Out & Back, Kid’s cutoff. The lolli-top was groomed but the snow is very thin and could damage skis if skating.

The classic track snow is thin so skiers need to pay attention and avoid bare spots.

The parking lot is very icy so be extremely cautious.

Spruces

Hi everybody, welcome to a new ski season! We rolled the Upper Loop and the Practice Loops today for the first groom of the season. BUT, there are some thin spots out there, particularly on the north side of the loop. You could easily go down to pavement and scratch your skis, so be careful. We aren’t able to groom the Lower Loop yet as we need more snow to groom over on the Connector Trail. We will groom as much as we can and as soon as we have enough snow, we will begin grooming the Lower Loop. Thanks, have fun!

White Pine

White Pine is open for skiing since Friday. 3k and 5k are groomed and track set today. Conditions are thin so ski with awareness and caution. A bit chilly today. Help us remind walkers, new residents, visitors and dog owners that there are fantastic places to engage in those activities off the ski trails. We have an education brochure in the shop and can help direct folks to better locations for those activities. You can see our trail updates on our website and instagram daily. We are wearing masks in the shop because we want to enjoy the holidays with our families too. Be kind and stay healthy.
