East Canyon Hwy/ Hwy 65 freshened up for skate to the top this morning/afternoon. As in recent days, results suggested that reset of classic would not yield any improvement, so not attempted.

Our track had become a little windblown and crusty. All it took was a trace of snow and lots of wind, and an open golf course. This morning I groomed the skate lane and set a new classic track. Love the new tracksetter. I think the skiing should be great the next few days.

Grooming will start at 7:00am Sunday. Trails will be groomed for skate and classic in this order: Kid’s cutoff. Mitten, Main, Boomerang, Wiggle Room, Lollipop, Creek, and Lower.
All trails should be ready by 9:30 am

It’s going to be a warmer ski day on the Nordic trails. We have groomed for skate on the upper and lower tracks. We will be resetting the classic lane later this afternoon once the snow softens up. If you ski the classic tracks before then just be careful of wind blown areas where the tracks aren’t visible.

Fabulous day for a ski! Almost everything groomed and the Grand Tour Race is today! It is more casual than other races, so all trails are open to everybody – just be courteous to faster skiers and don’t mess with the V-board. Come cheer on the intrepid souls!!

Mountain Dell will host the Wasatch Citizens Series race Saturday morning. The course will open to normal operations by about 1 P.M. Saturday. It will be a sunny and warm afternoon for skiing. Saturday evening Mountain Dell will host the Moonlight Ski fundraiser to support juniors’ programs. Come be a part of it!

East Canyon Hwy groomed to the top (8.9 k) this morning for skate and Wednesday’s classic extended to the top. Results indicated that resetting existing classic below first switchback (5k) would not yield any improvement, but track set to that point Wednesday looked good. Expect some morning iciness as the sunny, warm days continue.

Course CLOSED TO ALL SKIERS Friday night after 6 P.M. for race prep. Skiing open all day Friday. Normal operations resume Saturday after about 1 P.M. Groomed all trails Friday morning except Lower below Cullen’s Cutoff and WorldCup for skate and classic. Did lots of smoothing for Skate Race tomorrow. Great conditions!!

It’s a perfect bluebird day to come Nordic ski! The upper and lower tracks have been groomed for skate. We weren’t able to reset the classic lane due to cold snow conditions and limited new snow. The classic tracks are still great just bumpy in some spots. The track should soften up later this afternoon and into tomorrow.
