Another 2 inches of fresh snow on the trails overnight! Cold overnight and beautiful light flurries this morning. It will be a sunny winter ski day by mid morning. There are a few icy/thin spots in exposed areas and under the trees, so ski with awareness and some caution near those. We’ve put in a couple of detours too so pay attention out there. For the people who love to walk the ski trails…. Please just don’t. Help us remind people that the ski trails are for skiing. There are wonderful walking paths all over the city that welcome your dogs too! We’ll have a continuing wintery mix this week with a chance of further snow showers through the weekend. All 20km of trails are open with a fresh soft surface and with soft classic track. We roll packed the Farm late yesterday and we’ll let the new snow sit on it today and do a full groom there tomorrow. The core 3k and 5k and Armstrong are groomed and track set this morning.
Skating and Classic skiing will be a bit slow early but delightful in the sun today. Great ski time will be from 9:00-5:00 today. Red/Blue or violet wax today. Please be aware of changing conditions, be mindful and ski within your abilities. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground. Use the east entrance until the hotel fixes the main garage entrance door. Everything you can do to reduce single driver trips and park smart helps! If your skis are slow or sticking, it’s definitely time to wax. White Pine Touring Nordic Center is a Flouro Free zone. No HF, LF or PFAS waxes are allowed by county ordinance and common sense. If you have old Flouro waxes bring them in to the recycling bin in the shop and we’ll give you 25% off Flouro-Free high performance replacement sprays and hard waxes. Let’s do our part to maintain drinking water quality and health.

We are planning to be open at least through the end of March. Snow coverage has remained good and we want to keep you skiing in town. We have requested permission from Park CIty (our landlord) to stay open until the 12th of April. We are still waiting to hear back with administrative approval and we’ll update you as soon as we know. ~
