Happy President’s Day! And what an incredible historic weekend for Nordic Skiing in the USA! Minneapolis and the Loppet Foundation really staged quite a party for the World Cup Tour.
A cold winter morning to start the day. Cold overnight will make for firm trails but not a lot of speed early. Great snow and conditions for classic and skate. Conditions may change during the day as the temperatures warm and depending on if and/or when the weather arrives. All trails are open and groomed. 3 and 5k ready first, the Dog Loop, Farm and Armstrong will be done after.
Please drive safely, walk with care in your ski boots and ski with great Joy! Purchase your pass and wear it please.
Blue/red wax for kick and glide today with the packed cold snow and warming temperatures during the day. Please continue to be aware, be careful and ski within your abilities. It is a busy holiday weekend, PLEASE ride the bus, micro transit, carpool, skateboard, cycle, e-bike or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips and park smart helps! Come play in the new snow, share the fun, greet your fellow skiers and have another beautiful and Joyful winter ski day!
Stay tuned for updates about the Wasatch Citizens Series skate race scheduled for Saturday 2/24 at Mountain Dell. Its that kind of Winter… Possibly back to the Farm? We’ll let you know as soon as we can.
