You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy a trail pass and seek happiness in nature. Have you ever skied in an eclipse? Today you can! beginning at 11 you slip your hands into your black pole straps, clamp on your skis, pull on your eclipse glasses and have a trail experience of your life enjoying a day of rings and shadows. The all-electric snowcat will be at the Nordic Center for the eclipse! Our final Monday of the season and it is WINTER! The countdown rolls on. Only three more days to go. 129/131 days on snow so far for the season. A beautiful 19 degree winter morning to welcome our 129th day on snowy trails this season! Cold temperatures turning to warm sun today will make for an amazing ski day. The on-going enigma of spring weather. We get everything, everyday, all at once. Come out and show your support for locally owned and operated cross country skiing. 3k, 5k and Armstrong will be groomed and track set today. Snowcats will be arriving at the farm today so we’ll groom there tomorrow. Pay attention while you’re skiing. Skating will be firm early and should hold through the day. There are icy/thin spots lurking under the snow in exposed areas, near the ponds and under the trees especially on the 5km. Ski with awareness and some caution near those. Skating and Classic skiing will be pretty amazing for April and you should find a sweet little window of fun today. Great ski time will be from 9:00-5:00 today. Red/Blue or violet wax and structure. You might even be able to get a few hours of blue wax classic this morning! Please be mindful and ski within your abilities. Come play outside then glide into the shop to say hello and check out our ski wall. Clearance continues on our the remaining clothes, skis and poles. Glide in and clasp your hands on a great deal at our annual clearance sale to put you in the pink. (only one more pair of pink poles left on the wall, hurry in) Have a joy-filled snowy ski day, focus on taking care of the important bits and keep an eye out for playful bunnies and our demo snowcats. We’ll be having snowcat demos at the farm Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, so don’t be surprised if you see an all electric snowcat and 4-5 other snowcats lay down some beautiful tracks on the farm during the week.
