A light little dusting of snow on top of the trails this morning. Cold overnight again, so blue wax for grip and glide all day today. We may see a little sun later today but expect winter temperatures all day with small chance of flurries early. We’re grooming the 3k, 5k, Armstrong and the Dog Loop with fresh classic and resurfaced skate lanes on everything. Powdered sugar on top and a firm track below. It will be very much like a delicious Greek Kourabiedes shortbread.
The dog loop is open and running enthusiastically through the snow. The Farm will see basic cultivation, so stay tuned for opening updates. Thank you for your patience with this most interesting winter we’ve been having.
Classic skiing will be very good today and skate will also be good but a bit slow early in the fresh dusting. Skiing will be a great activity today no matter the technique. A good universal liquid or paste wax on your fish scale classic skis (tip to tail) is always helpful. Skin skis are a very good no-fuss classic option. Try only using your phone for photos today and bringing your family, friends and neighbors along for the adventure. Drop off your skis when you’re done for a well deserved overnight wax spa treatment. Please purchase AND display your trail pass to access our trails.
