White Pine

Another cold wintery feeling morning on the trails! We again received approval to lightly regroom the 3km loop, Armstrong and the practice area last night. We smoothed out the skate track and we did not reset the good classic track from yesterday. None of the other trails are open or suitable for skiing right now. Sometimes the weather and the desire don’t match exactly. Patience for more snow will be rewarded. After work and early morning skiers are increasing in numbers and making grooming a challenge at times. A light touch is more than enough to create a great experience for everyone.

Cold and squeaky this morning, definitely a blue wax day again. Skiing will be quite good, but a bit slow and sticky if your skis are not waxed. The surface will be firm through the day with the cold temperatures and chance of snow. It is very hard under the new snow so ski with care and please pay attention to where you are going. Be aware of icy patches under the snow and walk with care in your ski boots. We are working together with Park City to make your community resource as wonderful as we can year-round. The store and service shop are OPEN! We can’t control the snowfall, but we can wax your skis and upgrade your gear. We will update the report as needed.
No walking, dogs, running, cycling, driving or trespassing on the trails. If you need to take a physical and/or mental therapy break we’re here for you every day. It is a great day to drop off your skis for a relaxing spa day. Find Joy outdoors, ski safe, preserve the trails, be safe and be kind. Thank you for being part of our amazing community and reading another lengthy, yet informative trail report.
If you tried to go skiing at Round Valley in the last few days, bring in your skis for repairs and a grind. Grab your warm gloves, your beanie, go for a ski and then come shop in the store. All nordic poles, high performance waxes and kids clothes in the shop are on sale now. We’re holding on for the return of the snow bunnies. Think snow and if that doesn’t work, be sure to wash your car to bring on the storms!
