WCS Season Pass – High School/Middle School Recreational Race

Skiers in TUNA XC: This race is free for you, but you need to register. Email jen.santoro@utahnordic.org for a link.

TUNA MEMBERS GET A DISCOUNT! Please add a  TUNA membership or login to see the discounted price.

Who: High School and Middle School racers who are not on their club’s Comp or Jr. Comp Teams
What: 3km Wave Start (mass start)
Why: Try ski racing and show your high school or middle school pride! First time racers not just welcomed, but ENCOURAGED!

This race offers skiers in their club’s recreational programs an opportunity to try a ski race.

Registration:

Registration for individual/single day races and NEW season passes must be completed by the Thursday before each race at 11:59PM MST.

Registration for season passes: If you have registered for the season, you do not have to register again.

Waivers:

Every skier must have a TUNA waiver and any additional waivers for venues on file in order to race. Please make bib pick-up simple for you and the race crew by completing and verifying your waiver(s) in advance. The waiver is a 2-step process and in order to complete this, you need to respond to an email from Smartwaiver. Please check your SPAM folder for this if you aren’t seeing it.

If you have already signed a TUNA waiver since July 1 of this season, you do not need to sign another.

TUNA Waiver:

  1. Click the blue tab that says “Sign our waiver”
  2. Complete the waiver
  3. Go to your email and click the email from Smartwaiver and verify the waiver
    All steps must be complete for you to race

Bib Pickup

Bib pickup will be from 8:30 – 9:30 am on race day. Bibs will be returned at the finish line.

Race Times

All racing starts at 10am. The little kids and older kids start first, with the Open and Age Group Masters starting at approximately 10:20am,

Waxing

The Wasatch Citizens Series is a non-fluro event. The WCS does not allow or encourage the use of fluorinated waxes.  Fluorinated waxes have been banned from the highest levels of competition for environmental and health reasons.  The Wasatch Citizens Series supports this effort.
