White Pine Touring operates a 18 km cross-country ski center in the heart of Park City. Enjoy the spectacular mountain views along one of three groomed loops. With 3k, 5k and 7k+ loops, they are perfect for the beginner, intermediate and advanced classic or skate skier. Heated underground parking, passes, equipment, clothing, repairs, service and lessons are all offered on site. Rentals and Lessons are available.
Ski Local, Shop Local, but we did check online to see if we could get a little holiday dusting to arrive after the weekend. Fingers crossed for no shipping delays.
It should be the last of the truly warm spell today. We shoveled a ton of snow on the 3k loop yesterday to help insure we stay open through Christmas. More of that hard work today, so be sure to stop and thank the people how are working very hard to keep you skiing. You could even stop and help for that warm community feeling. Just a touch up groom this morning in order to save snow depth. The surface this morning is very good and the short period of cold overnight was helpful. The surface will be softening through the day. Best skiing will be from 9:30 to about 1 pm today on red or purple wax. If the trail is softening significantly, please switch to classic skiing. Please ski early if you are able to. We’re solidly back to snow saving mode. 3km “Community Loop” is open. The gliding will be quite good today if your skis are waxed and ready. The 5 km “Pond Loop” remains closed. Be very aware of thin spots and cart paths and big surface gaps if you venture out. The 5km side is only for the intrepid and rock skis. The penalty for catching an edge on the cart path can be significant.
Our hours are 9am to 5pm daily. You must have a trail pass purchased and displayed to access our trails. Everyone please ski filled with happiness and the Joy of being outside, greet the hardworking staff and your fellow skiers and keep an eye out for the ermine and snow bunnies. There are a few shovels and scoops on the 3km trail. Enjoy some cross training and toss a couple of scoops of snow on to the thin spots. You’ll be stronger, get great feeling of being part of our wonderful ski community and also help the track last longer. Even a few scoops will fill your heart and your trail with Joy and the trail with the good stuff.
