New Years Day! I skied this morning on a very firm base. The snow is a bit crusty but there are stretches which skate nicely. Classic not recommended. Regretfully, we have reached the point that I think it unwise to do any regrooming due to the bare stretches here and there and the risk of damaging the golf course / running the sled and groomer over bare ground. Too bad because I think large portions of the track would respond nicely from buffing the skate lane out. This all means conditions are not likely to improve until we get a significant refresh of new snow. Sigh….
