A fresh dusting of snow again this morning! We have received about 1 inch of new snow and its snowing lightly still this morning. It’s getting better every day and we’ll take every flake. We’ll wave the magic wand again today and lay out some lovely soft corduroy and classic tracks. The 3k and 5k will be groomed first followed by a trip down to check out the Dog Loop and Farm to see what if anything might need to be touched up. Conditions today will be soft on top and firm underneath from yesterday’s groom. We are still treating the 5k gently due to snow depth in a few areas and to help protect the golf course turf. Classic skiing will be so very good today. Conditions will be whole milk foam with excellent skating.

Temperatures will be just below freezing all day which means that it will be blue/violet for kick and violet/red for glide. Skiing could be a bit sticky if your skis are not waxed or structured well. Please pay attention to where you are going out there. Be aware of icy patches in the parking lot and walkways. Walk with care in your ski boots. We are working cooperatively with Park City every day to make your community resource a great place to play year-round. The store and service shop are OPEN all day. We can wax your skis and upgrade your gear as needed. No walking, dogs, running, cycling, driving or trespassing on the trails.
If you need to take a physical and/or mental therapy getaway or a social media break we’re here for you. It will be a great afternoon to drop off your skis for a refreshing spa treatment so they’ll be ready for your next adventures. Pull on your good gloves, snug up your laces and straps and play! Warm up with a steamy mug before you head out, chase some Joy on the trails, look for snow bunny tracks, be safe and be kind. Thank you for being part of our amazing community and reading all the way down to the bottom of another lengthy trail report. Go for a ski and then drop in the store to say hi and visit for a few minutes. All nordic poles, high performance waxes and kids clothes in the shop are on sale now! See you on the trails!

The next Wasatch Citizens Series race will be Saturday February 22nd at Mountain Dell. It will be a 5/10km individual start skate race. Check www.utahnordic.org for details. Good Morning!!

A great start to the day with a little sunshine! The upper and lower trails are all set for skate and classic. The connector trail on #18 and #17 is closed at this time until further notice. The snow conditions are firm this morning with the cold overnight temps but we are on our way to the mid 30’s today. One more round of snow tonight then temps soar into the 40’s. Please ski with caution over the bridges as they are in good shape but thin in spots.

Feel free to reach out to the Nordic/Golf Shop with any questions.

Another beautiful sunrise in Park City. It should be a fantastic morning of skiing and a chance of some more fresh snow later in the day. We don’t just wave a magic wand every day to create these incredible trails. There is a lot of hard work every single day from our staff of nearly 50 that share their passion and enthusiasm to help get you outdoors. Our snowcat was out prowling this morning and making some gorgeous corduroy and classic tracks for you. The 3k and 5k will be groomed first followed by a trip down to the Dog Loop and Farm to reset some of the blown in spots from yesterday’s breeze. Conditions will be softer on the 5k and upper Armstrong, the trails will be excellent and creamy everywhere else. We are treating the 5k gently due to snow depth in a few areas and to help protect the golf course turf. Classic skiing will be fantastic again today. Conditions will cappuccino creamy with excellent skating. Temperatures will be just below freezing all day which means that it will be blue/violet for kick and violet/red for glide. Mountain Dell

Good morning TUNA Nation and all Nordic enthusiasts. It is nice to see Mountain Dell back in business. Main, Mitten, Lolli Pop, Boomerang, Wiggle Room and Park By-Pass were all groomed early this morning for skate and classic. Lower and Creek remain closed until conditions allow us to open these portions of the track. Classic reset went in well in most places, but marginal results were had in other areas of the track due to the thin snowpack. Both skate and classic skiing should be good today, assuming new snow accumulation today does not fill the track in. When we departed Mountain Dell at 8:30 am this morning, a pretty good snow squall was doing its best to erase our groom. Small price to pay for some extra snow to keep us going. Come on up today and get your slide on!

Mountain Dell will be closed to all skiers starting at 6 P.M. on Friday, Feb. 21, for race course prep. We will host the Wasatch Citizens Series 10K Skate race on Saturday morning, Feb. 22. There will be no non-race skiing permitted until about 12:30 P.M. on Saturday. Thank you.

All of our trails are open again! Another dusting of snow came in overnight. We’ll take every flake! Our snowcat was out prowling last night and making tracks. The Farm, dog loop and 3k were snowcat groomed and are open today. Conditions will be soft but getting better through the day. We’ll be grooming and setting classic on the 5k loop this morning. We are treating it gently due to snow depth in a few areas and to help protect the golf course turf. Classic skiing will be fantastic again today. Conditions will be very good and cappuccino creamy with excellent skating. It looks like we’ll be rewarded with great skiing all week. Be sure to purchase and display your trail pass! Poaching is bad Karma (and is illegal on the fee trails)

This is a non-grooming report. Just a heads up that the trails in Fairview will not be groomed the remainder of the week since your groomer is out of town during this time. Let’s see what next week brings. As of Monday 2/17, coverage was good for skating, a bit thin for classic.
