Cold nights and beautiful afternoons have kept the tracks in great shape. 3k is skiing fast all day with classic tracks too. Armstrong is very good, 5k is skiing great. no new snow, but enjoy what we have. use caution near construction areas, but that should be quiet for a couple weeks. Contractor finished trenching for the water treatment plant. dog loop is open for four footed friends, ski with caution. farm still not open. please display your trail pass!

Finished grooming skate lanes at 9AM this morning on Main, Mitten, Boomerang, Kid’s Cutoff, Top of Lollipop, and Park Bypass. Skied a couple laps afterward and found coverage is complete on open loops and conditions quite good. Didn’t reset classic track but it is holding up nicely. Enjoy!!

MCC crew groomed this morning. Track was reset. From Trailhead to Elbow Fork trail is firm and from Elbow Fork to Big Water Trail is softer. So track set better above Elbow Fork.

Main, Mitten to cutoff, Lower to Swanson’s cutoff, Boomerang, Lolly-top and Park road cutoff were groomed this morning for skating. Particular care was taken to improve (soften up) the first steep downhill from the starting area. The classic track on the Main is in the best shape but thin. Thin spots do persist on the track, but the crew is working hard with the new snow blowing equipment to maintain our track. The skating should be good to excellent today.

Groomed to the top for skate and classic. There was approximately 5” of new snow at the top. The classic track has a crisp and well-defined structure. It was deep enough to be a bit too soft relative to the fast and firm we’ve experienced until now: What a wonderful “problem” for a change! Should set up overnight and be great skiing Wednesday.
