Lots of new snow in the last few days and all open trails are groomed for classic and skating.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Winter is back with all the fresh snow from yesterday and the cold air moving in overnight. Definitely a blue wax day all day. Everything is being groomed but it is just a little breezy out on the farm so be prepared with warm gloves, a warm hat and the chance of a little drifting on the trail this morning. Single digit cold this morning so finish that coffee before you head out. It is beautiful (and so are you) so bring your significant other and share the tracks. Please purchase and display your trail pass and continued thanks for those of you who are not poaching the Farm and reminding the many new locals and visitors that the ski tracks are for skiing, Have a wonderful day and hug someone you love from an appropriate distance.
Spruces
Mountain Dell volunteer groomers sled packed entire Spruces course early Saturday morning. Snowing during the entire operation. No new corduroy or classic track were set, as it would have been rapidly covered up with the current storm cycle. Main goal was to keep the new snow knocked down and achieve compaction in anticipation of putting down new corduroy and classic track once the storms end. Don’t let that stop you from coming up and enjoying some solitude in the mountains, while forging your own tracks through the serene campground loops. Look for new corduroy and classic track as the storm cycle allows. Weekend traffic will be busy and parking a challenge at times with the President’s Day Holiday.

A blustery day today. grooming priority this morning is 3k and 5k. some snow expected during the day. We will groom the farm a bit later. Classic skiing will definitely be good today. Thank you for your patience as the snow fills in. Please remember conditions will be soft because of the very high temps yesterday and the snow today. Ski with caution and display your trail pass. It is surprising how many people still think the golf course and the farm are public parks… Please help us gently remind folks to stay off the track unless they are on skis. We’ve had some folks get quite indignant the last few days. It’s just skiing people. Get out and enjoy.

Hey Nordic skiers! Trails should be great this morning before the snow comes. The snow is packed and ok for skating currently, I would use a hard wax because of the fresh snow falling. Enjoy a chill day up here and avoid the long downhill lift lines!
Millcreek
Groomed and set track this afternoon. 40 degrees at trailhead at 2:30pm. Soft conditions 5” new snow at Big Water and a dusting at trailhead. Light snow showers this afternoon.
Spruces
Packed and rolled the snow today, we had some mechanical issues that unfortunately didn’t allow us to clean up a couple messy, bumpy areas. After snow this weekend it should be cleaned up. Have fun!
Deer Hollow Winter Recreation Area
Thursday 2/11/21 – Today Deer Hollow near Cedar City was groomed with the BearCat snowmobile and YTS GinzuGroomer to pack the 1+ inch of overnight snow. Corduroy was laid and track set on all of the XC trails, including the outer meadow loop, some 20 Km in all. The snowshoe trails were also groomed with the BearCat & Ginzu. Off trail or “backcountry” conditions are great with about 3 ft. of firm settled snow and with an inch of fresh snow.

Snowy morning! About 3 inches of fresh snow this morning, expected moderate snow most of the day. Classic skiing will be so so good, skate lanes will be a little soft through the day but the high moisture snow should be great fun if your wax and structure are on point (we can help with that) Temperatures around freezing today, so skin skis might be the ticket for a long cruise. Grooming focus will be on the 3 and 5k loops. The farm will be groomed early, but expect variable conditions depending on the snow and wind. Skiing should be quite fun today and remember if you turn off the video and mute audio, no one else on the Zoom call will know where you are.

Good Morning! Everything groomed except for Camp Loop, which should be open in the next week. Snow is a few days old, but it is snowing lightly so a light dusting will cover the track.

Another beautiful day of Spring Skiing in February. All trails groomed and ready for you. Firm track in the morning with a chance of a few snow showers (and snowshoers on the snowshoe trail) Conditions warming a bit through the day. Great time to re wax and structure. Drop in and we can structure your skis for $5. It will help. Thank you everyone for your ongoing assistance with the two and four footed pedestrian traffic on the farm and the 5k. Mountain Dell Was groomed Wednesday night.
Main, Mitten, Lower to Cullen’s Cut-off, Lollipop,kids Cut-off, Boomerang all groomed for Skate and Classic. Park Road bypass and Kids play area groomed for skate only.
Good skate surface and classic came out fairly well in most areas. Klister or skins will likely be the call in the lanes.
