Happy Solstice! We groomed from the restroom to the pass at sunset. More than trying to present a consumable ski trail tomorrow, the groom was primarily to work on leveling the track for the future; like our big 1-2″ of snow by Saturday night. If interested, walking to the restroom to begin skiing is recommended. It’s almost entirely melted about half way to the restroom. After the road cut and small climb, it’s better and mostly covered to the restroom. However, it’s very thin and skiing with extreme caution recommended. Actually, walking to the restroom is recommended. We did not re-set classic from the restroom to the top since we were trying to level the crummy skate lane. Classic is okay at best toward the restroom and often melted and blown out above the first switchback. The skate lane looked much better when we left well after dark. Watch for thin spots for a while above the second switchback It should re-freeze tonight and be nice in the morning before softening if you’re up for the walk to the restroom.
Do your snow dance, add 1-2′ on your Christmas wish list, or whatever you can think of to get us some white stuff!

We are open! We groomed for skate on our 1.1k loop on the lower track Tuesday morning. Skate is still good, but classic lanes are closed at this time due to lack of snow coverage. Snow will be pretty firm this morning after colder temperatures overnight. The snow should soften as we get well above freezing this afternoon. Please stay on the groomed trails!

Snow is hard with a crust of ice on top this morning. Come enjoy our manmade 2k loop, it will be fast this morning. Rain and warm temperatures yesterday likely took a toll on spin and grin and upper hollow natural snow trails.

Most trails groomed for skate and classic. Pleasantly surprised by 2″ of new snow, so the trails are really nice today!
No new grooming on Cornucopia, Evergreen, Bypass, or Camp Loop. Early season conditions exist: rocks, sticks, uneven terrain.
31° at 8:15, high of 39° today.

The rain was not our friend yesterday, HOWEVER, More spring skiing conditions on tap. It didn’t freeze hard last night so not crusty this morning as we feared. The track is grooming up quite well again. A cloudy but joy-filled ski day! The holiday season is here so let’s be kind and patient out there.

We are open 9-5 daily with 10km of good skiing. Watch for thinning spots. Moderate, rising temperatures today after another warm night. Skating and Classic will great early through early afternoon. Red or purple wax conditions all day. Potential for yellow wax late afternoon…. The forecast says it will get well above freezing in the afternoon. Late day skiing will be soft but it stayed pretty good yesterday despite the rainy part of the day. Remember to ride the bus, micro transit, carpool or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips helps!

We’ve groomed the 3k, 5k and Armstrong for skating and classic. The dog loop is not as open-ish and the conditions are not improving on that loop. THE FARM IS CLOSED FOR NOW. Give the gift of glide this holiday season. Wax cards and all of the waxes from basic to super fast are in the shop. Go play in the snow, spread the Joy! The shop is open so come pick up your pass and check out all the amazing new gear and clothing. Give the gift of a lesson!

Thank your groomers. They are making the sweetest lemonade out of the bag of lemons the weather has given us.

No new grooming to report. Grooming at this time might make conditions less favorable.

Skated to the 1St switchback today. Skating was OK. Imagine above that would be similar.
Classic looked to be holding up well.
Light rain for a while but stopped quickly.

A few minutes of walking and a few minutes of cautious skiing gets to good coverage.

Let’s hope for some snow!!!!

Upon further inspection the snow may be too saturated to recommend skiing today. The groomer asks that you avoid skiing if you leave deep ruts so our one working snowcat does not have to work too hard to clean up deep ruts. Apparently further devotion to the snow bringing force of your choice is warranted.

Soldier Hollow

If the thin vulnerable natural snowpack getting rained on has you down, never fear, manmade is here! 2k of groomed manmade can take this taste of Seattle and you can get your skiing fix. You can test out those hard shell layers, too. Please avoid the natural snow; the upper hollow should survive but skiing on it now won’t do it any favors.

Most trails groomed this morning for skate and classic. Look out for “early season conditions” in some places, including sticks, rocks, and uneven surfaces. No new grooming on Cornucopia, Evergreen, Cabin Loop, or Bypass. Best skiing will be on the Lake loop and in the Redman loops.

More spring conditions but not crusty this morning. The track is grooming up quite well. A partly cloudy but joy-filled ski day! The holiday season is here so let’s be kind and patient. We are open 9-5 daily with 10km of very good skiing. Moderate, rising temperatures today after a warm night. Skating and Classic will great early through mid afternoon. Red or purple wax conditions all day. The forecast says it will get well above freezing in the afternoon. Late day skiing might be a bit soft but it stayed delightfully fast yesterday despite sun most of the day. Remember to ride the bus, micro transit, carpool or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips helps! We’ve groomed the 3k, 5k and Armstrong for skating and classic. The dog loop is not as open-ish. The Farm is NOT open yet. We have been doing some maintenance out there to prepare for the next storm. Give the gift of glide this holiday season. It definitely thank your groomer time. We have been shoveling every day to keep the thin spots covered as well as we can. Remember to bring this old HF and LF waxes in to the recycling bin and get a discount on non- PFC replacement waxes! Let’s do our part to keep the drinking water clean!
