White Pine

Another amazing ski day! We are open 9-5 every day. Slightly warmer again today after a beautiful ski day yesterday. Some clouds and sun. blue wax early, red wax conditions later. Getting above freezing in the afternoon. Late day skiing might be a bit soft. Remember to ride the bus, micro transit, carpool or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips helps! We’re grooming the 3k, 5k and Armstrong for skating and will set classic track. The dog loop is open-ish. The creek diversion has been fixed so it should continue to dry out. Skating and Classic will be great all day but softening late. If your skis are sticking it’s time to wax. Go play in the snow, spread the Joy far and wide and be kind to each other. The shop is open so come pick up your pass and check out all the amazing new gear and clothing. We have boots and skis in your size!

Course groomed Sunday afternoon during a snow moving effort. Corduroy on Main, Boomerang, Wiggle Room and Lollipop. Coverage is thin in many places, so rock skis are best and caution is advised. Too thin for us to set classic track.

Soldier Hollow

We are open for skiing to Season Pass Holders until noon today. With the thin coverage, naciant snowmaking and warm temperatures, the south and west-facing hills are melting out, especially on Roller Coaster. Spin and Grin has the best coverage. The shop will be open until 4:30 pm however, so come do your Holiday shopping! We have gift cards that are good at all the Olympic venues!!!!

Groomed the upper and lower loops this morning. Did not set classic yet as there are still just a couple thin spots. Jordan Pines has a quick sled pack but is not fully groomed yet. But skiing should be very nice. Sunny day. Enjoy!

Fairview got 5-6″ of wet snow last week (12/2) but it was spotty and the golf course did not fare well. This last week was warm and sunny so major melt-off. Most recent storm (12/8) was just a tease in Sanpete so no prospect of skiing until further notice. Time to head north!

Soldier Hollow

We are open to season pass holders (8:30-4:30)!! We have groomed out our snow whales in the hollow and beyond and the skiing looks fantastic – and we even have set classic track! The trailhead area is a little rough still as we are continuing to blow snow to take advantage of these lovely cold temperatures, so you will have to be cautious as you pick your way around to the goods. Come and enjoy this true winter wonderland!

White Pine

We are open 9-5 daily! About 6 inches of fresh snow yesterday. As of 8:00 cold, blue wax conditions all day. Getting ready for a sunny winter day! Remember to ride the bus, micro transit, carpool or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips helps! We’re grooming the 3k and 5k for skating and will set classic track The dog loop is closed with running water but we’ll look at it later to see if coverage has changed. Skating and Classic will be soft early with the dry windblown snow yesterday. Come in and shop for wax and new gear. Blue wax today or rub on universal. If your skis are sticking its time to wax. Go play in the snow and cold sunshine. The shop is open so come pick up your pass and check out all the amazing new gear and clothing. We have boots in your size!

Remember a tour or lesson makes a great gift that keeps on giving. Every dollar you spend nordic skiing is a dollar you won’t spend at the health clinic in five years!

Absolute bliss striding through fast, superlight fluff Friday afternoon at Mtn Dell. We will be grooming Saturday morning, but it is still thin, early season conditions, and the light snow might not bond well. Even though it is too thin for us to set classic track, classic is best. Skate steps will likely push down to grass and pavement. Anywhere you cross road or cart path, your poles will click clack, but if you are striding, your skis should stay on top. And the striding off the groomed track will be a treat. See you out there!

Soldier Hollow

We got the good word, we WILL OPEN TO SEASON PASS HOLDERS TOMORROW! We will groom out piles of blown snow and with the added natural snow will offer whatever trails are safe to ski. Just FYI, looking ahead to Monday, it appears there will be another mini-warm up, so we will ask that all skiers be off the trails by noon. Thank you and we will see you tomorrow! We will be open to the general public starting Friday, December 15th.

Thin coverage. Cullen and Steve are on course right now (9 A.M.) putting down some corduroy. Too thin to set classic track, but classic might still be the best call for the day. There is a danger of pushing down to asphalt with a skate push anywhere the course travels over roadway or cart path. Best bet is to wait until noon or later. This brings a chance of a bit more coverage, as it is still snowing lightly, as well as giving the freshly groomed snow a chance to set up. If you go skate before 11 A. M. today you will certainly be pushing to the ground with each step.

Soldier Hollow

New update already! We will roll all the trails today and take the small groomer out on Spin N Grin and Cabin Loop and assess if the coverage makes for safe skiing. Between noon – 3 pm we will update to tell you whether we will be open tomorrow for Season Pass holders or not. Thank you for your continued patience!

White Pine

We are open 9-5 daily! About 6 inches of fresh snow and gusty winds this morning. Wind and snow overnight means a little adventurous this morning. We’re grooming the 3k and 5k for skating and will set classic track but the wind may have other ideas unless you come and help ski it in. The dog loop is closed with large amounts of running water but we’ll look at it later to see if coverage has changed. Skating and Classic will be soft all day with dry windblown snow.

Come in and shop for wax and new gear. Red wax today or rub on universal. If your skis are sticking its time to wax or wait until the storm settles and go play in the snow. The shop is open so come pick up your pass and check out all the amazing new gear and clothing. We have boots in your size, for now.

Ski safe, bundle up and be kind. It’s just skiing folks.

Groomed the upper loops today, sled packed/single track the lower loops and Jordan Pines. Snow was pretty wet and heavy this morning. Snowing as we left so conditions should improve. Have fun!
