Our trails are holding very well! Another joyful ski day on tap! We are open 9-5 daily. Moderate temperatures and cloudy today after a beautiful ski day yesterday. Blue wax early, red wax conditions later. Getting just above freezing in the afternoon. Late day skiing might be a bit soft.
Remember to ride the bus, micro transit, carpool or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips helps!
We’re grooming the 3k, 5k and Armstrong for skating and will not reset the very good classic track from yesterday. The dog loop is open-ish. The creek diversion has been fixed so it should continue to dry out. see our WPT trail report for more dog loop details. Skating and Classic will be very good all day but softening late. Come in and shop for wax and new gear. If your skis are sticking its definitely time to wax. Go play in the snow, spread the Joy and be kind to each other out there. The shop is open so come pick up your pass and check out all the amazing new gear and clothing before the holiday crush.
SR-65
Groomed for skate and classic to the first switchback this evening. The first mile or so is thin but firm. Don’t go Klaebo on it and you’re unlikely to hit pavement, with one exception: The usual thin area on a slight crown several hundred yards from the gate is super-thin and has a limited area of asphalt showing. Caution here will reward you with good skiing up the hill. It’s hard and fast to the restroom. We groomed from there to the first switchback for the first time this evening and it was a soft mess. After several passes it seem surprisingly firm. A couple classic skiers said it was supportive for pole planting and good to go. So go in the morning before it gets buggered up in the various ways that make us sad.
Millcreek
Skate deck groomed today. Good conditions above Elbow Fork. Firm and fast below.
SR-65
Fresh skate and classic from gate to bathroom, 1.5 miles up. A few thin spots in skate lane in the first 500 meters. Will be good after work Monday. Enjoy!
Soldier Hollow
We have groomed out a bit of our blown snow with set classic tracks! Otherwise, the natural snow is thin so be cautious and pick your trails wisely, such as skiing Spin and Grin. Skiing just for Season Pass Holders until Noon only, please, until we open officially on Friday.

Mountain Dell
Course groomed Sunday afternoon during a snow moving effort. Corduroy on Main, Boomerang, Wiggle Room and Lollipop. Coverage is thin in many places, so rock skis are best and caution is advised. Too thin for us to set classic track.
Soldier Hollow
We are open for skiing to Season Pass Holders until noon today. With the thin coverage, naciant snowmaking and warm temperatures, the south and west-facing hills are melting out, especially on Roller Coaster. Spin and Grin has the best coverage. The shop will be open until 4:30 pm however, so come do your Holiday shopping! We have gift cards that are good at all the Olympic venues!!!!

Spruces
Groomed the upper and lower loops this morning. Did not set classic yet as there are still just a couple thin spots. Jordan Pines has a quick sled pack but is not fully groomed yet. But skiing should be very nice. Sunny day. Enjoy!
Mountain Dell
Groomed all open loops for skate Saturday morning, still too thin to set classic. Lower and creek are closed. Ski with caution, coverage is thin in spots…enjoy!
Fairview
Fairview got 5-6″ of wet snow last week (12/2) but it was spotty and the golf course did not fare well. This last week was warm and sunny so major melt-off. Most recent storm (12/8) was just a tease in Sanpete so no prospect of skiing until further notice. Time to head north!
Soldier Hollow
We are open to season pass holders (8:30-4:30)!! We have groomed out our snow whales in the hollow and beyond and the skiing looks fantastic – and we even have set classic track! The trailhead area is a little rough still as we are continuing to blow snow to take advantage of these lovely cold temperatures, so you will have to be cautious as you pick your way around to the goods. Come and enjoy this true winter wonderland!

Remember a tour or lesson makes a great gift that keeps on giving. Every dollar you spend nordic skiing is a dollar you won’t spend at the health clinic in five years!
Mountain Dell
Absolute bliss striding through fast, superlight fluff Friday afternoon at Mtn Dell. We will be grooming Saturday morning, but it is still thin, early season conditions, and the light snow might not bond well. Even though it is too thin for us to set classic track, classic is best. Skate steps will likely push down to grass and pavement. Anywhere you cross road or cart path, your poles will click clack, but if you are striding, your skis should stay on top. And the striding off the groomed track will be a treat. See you out there!
Soldier Hollow
We got the good word, we WILL OPEN TO SEASON PASS HOLDERS TOMORROW! We will groom out piles of blown snow and with the added natural snow will offer whatever trails are safe to ski. Just FYI, looking ahead to Monday, it appears there will be another mini-warm up, so we will ask that all skiers be off the trails by noon. Thank you and we will see you tomorrow! We will be open to the general public starting Friday, December 15th.
