Fairview did very well with the Tuesday storm. The snow was wet but dried out some overnight and the forseeable future looks promising to hold the snow and keep the base. Today the track was packed in order to preserve the snow. No Tidd tech or classic track today. So it is rolled and should be firm enough to skate on the next few days since coverage is good. A few spots are thin. Your groomer will be heading to the Ski Festival at Grand Mesa CO Fri-Tuesday so no new grooming the next 5-6 days. Hoping to build on the base next week. Enjoy a nice start to winter and ski season and Happy Thanksgiving!
Mountain Dell
Mt. Dell received approximately 3 inches of snow overnight, which was just barely enough to pack down and set a small amount of corduroy on parts of Main and Park Bypass Road. If you’re going to ski Mt. Dell, please take your ROCK SKIS, watch out for gopher holes, and be prepared to take off your skis and walk over multiple areas of pavement (unless your looking for a DIY stone grinding for your skis). There are a bunch of gopher holes at the bottom of the first downhill on Main, and I recommend that you ski backwards on Main until you get to the Park Bypass Road. From here, take the Park Bypass Road to the far side of Main (where the Lollipop stem meets up with Main) and continue on Main until you get back to the Park Bypass Road. This will be your best route with the least interruptions, and is the closest we have to a complete loop at this time.
Please ski with caution, buy and display a season/day pass, bring your friends, and enjoy the snow! Happy Holidays
Spruces
Managed to get out and pack/roll the Upper Spruces Loop. Wasn’t enough snow to get to the Lower Spruces Loop or Jordan Pines, and still not enough to get out the nice groomer, but it’s still early in the season. Happy Thanksgiving. Sushi Scale: Turkey Roll (or Tofurkey Roll)
Jeremy Ranch
Good Morning,
We can’t wait to open the Nordic tracks for the season! We’ve started receiving some snow over the last couple weeks and hope to open as soon as possible!
We will start our changeover from golf to Nordic on Sunday, December 1st, where we will have new equipment options from Atomic and apparel options from Rossignol, Odlo, Toko and KJUS. There will also be glove and sock options from Le Bent, Toko, and Lill Sport. December 1st will also be the same date where our season passes become available for purchase! We will continue to update everybody on a potential opening date once we’ve received enough snow.
Have a great holiday weekend!
Happy Thanksgiving,
Jeremy Ranch Nordic Center
White Pine
We opened the Nordic Center shop on November 23rd. The 2.75 km Community Trail and the 5.2 km Ski View Trail are open. Surfaces are not deep at all, so ski with care and caution. If you must skate, ride a flat ski and if you are cutting deep, please switch to classic so we can preserve the snow for the coming days. Community trail has ~60% shallow classic track, Ski View Trail has ~40% shallow classic track set. The stoke is high, the snow is shallow.
Come in early to purchase or pick up your season pass and check out all the gear and clothing while we have the best selection of the season. Think snow!
Hours 9am to 3pm daily and beginning Nov 29th, 9-5 for the rest of the season. We will be CLOSED Thanksgiving Day so we can spend some time with our families before holiday mayhem begins.
You must have a trail pass purchased and displayed to access our trails.
Soldier Hollow
White Pine
About 2 more inches overnight. We’re getting so very close. 5.1 Ski View loop and 2.75 Community Trail will be rolled this morning. not enough depth for grooming or track setting. CLASSIC ONLY skiing for now. Once the base is prepared and it cools down we’ll get this party started for the season. Hoping for more snow later today and tomorrow. base depth ranges from 1-5 so be careful. This isn’t free, trail passes required, we’re selling half price tickets until we’re fully open. Come in for a wax, service or to check out all the incredible new gear. Yes, we have a full size run of the new boa boots in skate and classic.
White Pine
Not quite yet. the 2.75 km loop is rolled but super thin with unmarked hazards including cart paths right under the surface in places. If you venture out, purchase and display your pass. Ski at your own risk, we do have a great selection of skis to replace your damaged ones. CLASSIC ONLY. Absolutely no skating allowed due to snow depth. Do not be the person that cuts down to the grass and pavement and causes melt out. It is a great time to bring your skis in for wax and to get your season pass photo taken before the rush.
If you’re looking for gear, we have your size in stock right now.
Mountain Dell
We are deep into tasks of prepping the course and machinery in advance of another ski season at Mountain Dell. Our Golf Grounds Crew friends are churning on the loads of tasks they have to complete to protect the course from winter damage. If you do go ski at Mountain Dell before we start grooming, please show respect for our Golf friends by staying off all greens and tees. These are mostly roped off in the winter, but that is still a work in progress. Until we get going, you can help by purchasing your Mountain Dell season pass. Price goes up at the end of November. Thanks for being a part of the TUNA Mountain Dell community!
