Looking and feeling a lot more like winter! Another inch of good cold snow this morning so far. We’re able to reset classic in most places and we’ll be watching to see how the expected snow goes. The forecast calls for snow through the day with some breezes and several inches. Cold temperatures today and all week. Skating will be good but slow with the cold and fresh. Classic should be quite good all day with the new snow. Come share the Joy of skiing. Colder temperatures mean higher performance blue wax should be running well. We are open 9-5 daily. Please continue to be careful and ski within your abilities. Ski with awareness through the day and into the afternoon and keep an eye on the weather. A good resurfacing groom this morning and an update of the established classic track should make for a great day out. We have 12km of skiing open. Remember to ski with care, those thinning spots, icy spots and exposed areas are below the surface but getting further below the surface! Please ride the bus, micro transit, carpool, skateboard, cycle, e-bike or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips helps! We’ve groomed the 3k, 5k and Armstrong. The dog loop is partially ok-ish. It is tracked out with walkers and flooded/frozen in the lower part. Wax cards and all of the waxes from basic to super fast are in the shop. Go play in the new snow, share the Joy and enjoy the weekend! Get a jump on your New year’s fitness resolutions with a lesson for yourself!

Travel safe and we’ll see you out playing in the snow today! Please snow angels to the side of the trail. not in the middle of the trail.

We are planning to groom this morning, but we are going to wait to start until about 9 A.M. Sunday. It is snowing, and will continue to do so all day. No matter when you show up today, expect soft conditions that will be more suitable for classic than for skate. More snow on the way. Enjoy!

Good Morning,

We groomed for skate on our 1.1k loop on the lower track this morning. We shoveled snow onto the bridges on our 1.1k loop and bridge coverage is holding. The skate lane groomed up really nice, but classic lanes are closed at this time due to lack of snow coverage. We received around two inches of new snow overnight and will see some evening showers that should hopefully bring even more snow throughout the night. Please stay on the groomed trails.

Day Passes are only $5!!

Have a great day!

Could Winter be here? About 1.5 inches of good dense snow since Thursday. We’re able to reset classic in most places and we’ll be watching to see how the expected snow tonight goes. The forecast calls for snow arriving tonight with some breezes and several inches. Fingers crossed! Cold temperatures today but some sun expected too. Skating will be very good. Classic should be quite good all day with the new snow. Come share the Joy of skiing. Colder temperatures mean higher performance blue wax should be running well. We are open 9-5 daily. Please continue to be careful and ski within your abilities. Early conditions will be hard pack under the new snow and fairly fast. Ski with awareness through the day and into the afternoon and keep an eye on the weather. A good resurfacing groom this morning and an update of the established classic track should make for a great day out. We have 12km of skiing open. Be sure to thank our incredible groomers when you see them. Lou, Roch, Matias, Mark, Todd, Joaqiun, Camille, Candela and Julian have been working extremely hard to make your ski experience the best it can be. And they have been shoveling for hours each week and doing a great job. None of that track and morning groom happens by accident. And please if you see a stick, pinecone or willow branch on the trail, flick it off the trail. We want to preserve every single snowflake.

The Wasatch Citizens Series classic race at the Farm scheduled for today, Saturday January 6th has been rescheduled to Saturday January 13th. Registration is online at utahnordic.org Parking and bib pick up will be at St. Mary’s Church. Please carpool as much as possible and park responsibly. This and all WCS races have banned fluorinated (HF and LF) waxes. Stay tuned and pray for some serious snow.

We still have a couple of spots in our Mens Beginner Skate Clinic. Every Sunday in January 12:30 pm to 2:00pm! Call us to register!

Great News Skiers! Bandanas Cafe across the hall from us is now open until 8pm daily for your after-ski beverages, pizza and pasta. Now you can ski until sundown and then have a relaxing place to snack while you’re waiting for traffic on the highway to thin out! It’s better to eat pizza and ignore traffic than sit in traffic and wish for pizza.

Not groomable Saturday morning. The snow is too thin and surprisingly dry, not bonding to the surface. If you do try to ski it today, skate skis will quickly push down to grass or pavement. Classic will push through in many places. Sorry for this. Forecast suggests we will have more to work with Sunday morning, and much more as the week progresses.

Maybe those snow dances are working! About 1 inch of good dense snow yesterday made for a great ski day. We’re able to reset shallow classic in most places and we’ll be watching to see how the expected snow today goes. The forecast calls for snow arriving late morning with some breezes. Skating will be very good, possibly getting a little more challenging if the snow comes in heavy later today. Classic should be quite good all day with the new snow. Come share the Joy of skiing. Colder temperatures mean higher performance blue wax or purple should be running well. We are open 9-5 daily.

Please continue to be careful and ski within your abilities. Early conditions will be hard pack under the new snow and fairly fast. Ski with awareness through the day and into the afternoon and keep an eye on the weather. Just a light resurfacing groom this morning and an update of the established classic track will help with classic conditions today. We have 12km of skiing open. Remember to ski with care, those thinning spots, icy spots and exposed areas are below the surface. Please ride the bus, micro transit, carpool, skateboard, cycle, e-bike or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips helps! We’ve groomed the 3k, 5k and Armstrong. The dog loop is ok-ish. We still have a coupe of spots in our Mens Beginner Skate Clinic. Every Sunday in January 12:30 pm to 2:00pm! Call us to register!

TOKO waxing clinic Friday January 5th at 3:30 pm. Basic glide waxing and skin ski treatment. $10 charge. Discounts on TOKO products for attendees (and maybe a coupe of giveaways too) No preregistration required.

If your skis are slow it’s definitely time to wax. White Pine Touring is a Flouro Free zone. No HF, LF or PFC waxes are allowed by county ordinance and common sense. If you have old Flouro waxes bring them in to the recycling bin in the shop and we’ll give you 25% off Flouro Free high performance replacement sprays and hard waxes. Let’s do our part to maintain drinking water quality and health.
