White Pine

Wet snow fell overnight and continues this morning. About 3 inches total. It’s a warmish winter/spring morning. The wet snow overnight will make for soft trails but not a lot of speed early. Great snow and conditions for classic. Skate will be sticky and soft with the forecast weather. Conditions may change during the day as the temperatures warm and depending on if and/or when additional wet snow arrives. All trails are open and groomed. We will be rolling the skate surface and keeping yesterday’s classic track to ski in. If it dries out a bit later we’ll reassess and set new track. 3 and 5k ready first, the Dog Loop, Farm and Armstrong will be done after.
Please drive safely, walk with care in your ski boots and ski with great Joy! Purchase your pass and wear it please.
Red wax and structure for kick and glide today with the wet snow and warming temperatures during the day.

Please continue to be aware, be careful and ski within your abilities. PLEASE ride the bus, micro transit, carpool, skateboard, cycle, e-bike or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips and park smart helps! Come play in the new snow, share the fun, greet your fellow skiers and have another beautiful and Joyful wintery spring ski day!

If your skis are slow or sticking, it’s definitely time to wax. White Pine Touring Nordic Center is a Flouro Free zone. No HF, LF or PFC waxes are allowed by county ordinance and common sense. If you have old Flouro waxes bring them in to the recycling bin in the shop and we’ll give you 25% off Flouro Free high performance replacement sprays and hard waxes. Let’s do our part to maintain drinking water quality and health.

All kids skis, boots, poles, bindings and clothing are now 30% off in the shop. Get those kids outfitted while supplies last.

Happy Presidents Day,

The sun is already out this morning and its looking like its going to be a perfect ski day! We have groomed the upper and lower track for skate and the classic was reset. With colder overnight temperatures the track should ski firm and fast in the morning and soften as the day goes on.

Have a great day,

Some new snow Sunday morning followed by another warm afternoon. I let things cool off overnight and groomed early this morning. Skate lane looks great, new classic track set as well on both lower and upper loops.
Heads up: I am out of town late Monday- Sunday night this week (Birkie trip) so no grooming will take place. Does not appear to be the best week weather wise, however. I will evaluate the situation when I am back and go from there.

Good Morning,

It’s been a snowy morning so far! The lower track has been groomed for skate and classic. The upper track is currently being groomed for skate and the classic is being reset. The snow conditions are soft due to the snow we’ve had so far today. The snow should stop about midday and it will be a great time to ski!

Today appears to be yet another February day where some fresh snow will be sitting on top of the groom as there is one inch on the groom right now and snow is falling. With a national guard biathlon event ongoing, expect a partial closure on the core race loop until perhaps 1pm. Snow will likely be silkier early and damper later with a high of perhaps 42.
