Snow is really good right now, but might get slushy later on when it gets hotter. https://utaholympiclegacy.org/grooming-report-ski-conditions/
Solitude Nordic
All trails groomed for skate and classic. 11° at 8:30am, high of 26° and sunny today. Look out for coyote tracks and scat on the trails!
White Pine
Looking like a sunny day today. Temperatures were very cold overnight. Crunchy, icy crust conditions early should soften a bit by mid day. Blue wax day. Skating will be very exciting, fast and icy early, classic tracks are solid and softening through the day. Spring conditions are finally here. The means crunchy in the morning and soft late afternoon. Find the sweet spot and enjoy. Watch for water coming through the snow bridges on the dog loop.
Help us remind walkers and dog walker to PLEASE use the snowshoe trail. A dog walker in snowshoes destroyed the classic track on the 5k hills yesterday in the rain. It’s regroomed now, but made a lot of unnecessary work for our groomers. There is a local resident who makes it a point to walk the south end of the 5k track every morning after we groom. Not sure what to do about that. It seems intentional.
The Final WCS race of the season will be Saturday at the Farm. Please carpool! Parking is reduced at St. Mary’s Church due to the heavy snowplow stacks. Registration deadline is tonight at midnight. All activities will be outdoors and the social hall will not be available for skiers due to an evening event at the church. Farm trail will be closed to public skiing on Saturday morning.
Mountain Dell
Mountain Dell was groomed Wednesday night after a significant rain event and very warm temperatures. Track Conditions may vary somewhat on Thursday depending on what time the the snow was worked Wednesday evening. Lower to Cullen’s, Lollipop and Creek were all groomed before sunset and will have firm, but very well formed skate lanes and classic Tracks.
Main, Mitten and Kids cutoff were worked later in the evening. Classic tracks are not quite as deep and consistent as those areas mentioned earlier and the skate lanes needed a lot more work due to changing temperatures and dwindling moisture in the snow. We did get to a point where we were fairly satisfied. with the skate lanes and they should all ski well on Thursday.
Wiggle Room and Boomerang were left off the list tonight.
Skiing should be firm and fairly fast Thursday morning and the track will soften as the sun gets higher. Have fun out there.
SR-65
Groomed for skate and classic to the first switchback above Affleck Park. The heavy snow packed well and groomed nicely, but the classic lane was a bit ill defined in places below the restroom. Only one skate skier left descending tracks when we left near sunset. The hard freeze overnight will result in a flat and fast track in the morning. We normally are done grooming by now, so come experience bonus time in the canyon!
Jeremy Ranch
Good Morning,
We will not be grooming today due to the overnight and early morning rainy conditions. We will pack it down and reset it tomorrow morning. Thank you for your patience!
Have a great day,
Jeremy Ranch Nordic Center
Soldier Hollow
Wet snow from rain this morning and last night. Around half of the trails groomed last night, and the rest groomed within 1-3 days. With continued rain and higher temperatures, it is likely to get slushy as the day goes on, so come and enjoy a ski in the rain early today!
Solitude Nordic
All trails groomed for skate and classic. 6-12 inches of new snow overnight, and snowing heavily now. Snow is heavy, wet, and warm. 32° at 8am, temps dropping slightly throughout the day.
Mountain Dell
We will not be grooming Wednesday morning to allow moisture to percolate out of the snowpack. As of 7 A.M. Wednesday, a few inches of fresh snow has fallen, but it is warm and wet and we will make a mess by driving on it. Still plenty of ski days to come on the Mountain Dell track this month, as we wrap up this most amazing winter. Thanks.
Spruces
Groomed Spruces and Jordan Pines this morning. Left the classic track from yesterday. Sun is peeking out, nice day. I will groom for about another month and then will put the equipment away. Come out and ski before the season’s over.
Jeremy Ranch
Good Morning,
The upper and lower tracks have been groomed for skate. We were unable to reset the classic lane on both tracks because of the icy conditions. The track will soften up later this morning once it warms up into the low 40s. It’ll be a beautiful bluebird morning to come ski before we see some afternoon rain showers. Snow is expected in the overnight to hopefully allow us to reset a new classic lane.
We have a couple of days remaining on our Luck of the Jer Sale. 40% off in stock ski equipment, apparel and wax accessories. All in stock golf apparel, shoes and hats are all 40% off as well. So come up to Jeremy Ranch, enjoy a great ski and have a “Shop Around”!!
Have a great week,

Happy pi day. But eating pie is close enough. Especially if you have earned it by getting a good nordic ski workout in. Do this quickly, as in right NOW (845am) as the 40 percent of the trails that were groomed are in super fast tip top skating shape right now. There will likely be slush by later so if you are more timid time your visit to have as soft and forgiving of snow as you like. There is even some crust cruising to be had on the open meadows between groomed trails.
Solitude Nordic
Trace overnight and 25°F/-4°C at 0800. Trace of snow on most tracks from yesterday. Main thouroughfares groomed. Beautiful skiing.
White Pine
A bit of mixed weather today. Temperatures will be warm before the storm. Crunchy crust conditions early should soften by mid morning. Red wax day with structure later as the wind warms the air. Skating will be very exciting early, classic tracks are solid and softening through the day. Spring conditions are finally here with more snow expected beginning tonight.
Skis and boots are going quickly during the sale, get in now while we have some good selection of skate skis. Clothing is still 50% off.
Final WCS race of the Season will be at the Farm Trail Saturday March 18th. Register before Thursday night. Participation gifts, season awards and every bit of remaining raffle prizes will be handed out after the race. All activities will be outdoors, the St. Mary’s social hall has an event booked in the evening that needs to be set up. Please carpool!
Mountain Dell
Tonight we groomed and reset everything for classic and skate. World Cup was mostly groomed (got stuck at the top and didn’t attempt another ascent in the rain). If it doesn’t rain more and freezes tonight, the conditions will be great until it rains again tomorrow afternoon. Unfortunately it’s not forecast to get below freezing tonight, but cross our fingers. Either way, skiing this afternoon was still good despite the warmer temperatures. The snowpack below is still holding firm in most places and has excellent coverage.
Cheers, Brock and Dan
Spruces
Spruces groomed for skate and classic skiing. A bit soft, but beautiful snow!
