About the Program
This is a training group for intermediate and advanced skiers who would like to take their ski skills and fitness to the next level. Improve your technique through drills and skills with TUNA’s Head Coach!
Session 1: Meets at 10am at Mountain Dell for 8 Tuesdays beginning in January. Skiers will train in both classic and skate, with a schedule to be decided by the group and the coach.
Equipment: Skiers will need classic skis, boots, and poles and also skate skis, boots, and poles.
Prerequisites: Skiers should be able to double pole, kick and glide on classic skis comfortably around Mountain Dell, and be familiar with skate V1, V2, and V2 alternate on skate skis.
Goals: Improve your efficiency and fitness for racing or enjoy recreational skiing at a higher level. The coach will introduce skills and workouts that you can take with you and use every day of the week.

About the coach:
TUNA’s head junior coach Julia Richter was the University of Utah Ski Team Captain, scoring individual and team NCAA championships. Prior to graduating from the U in 2022 she was a Jr. World Team Member and German National Team member. She has studied coaching in Germany and the US and is a USSA Level 100 coach. Julia brings the experience of a world class athlete to her coaching and is not only a great coach and super fast skier, she is a wonderfully kind and enthusiastic person to train with! Her program is designed for experienced adult/masters skiers looking to improve their agility, balance, coordination, and ski fitness before the race season starts.
