White Pine

Spring skiing continues… Not as cold overnight, but a rather intense warming trend showing up later today. All trails groomed and open and coverage is still 100%. We’ll see how long that lasts with afternoon temps rising all week. Skiing has been incredibly good. We’ll see a little melting in the afternoon and glazing when the sun goes down so ski aware. Please help us and be a good example to visitors by wearing your mask when indoors at the Nordic Center.

If you’ve been poaching the farm all season, let’s put some cash into that fee box. Karma and all.

Ski safe and we’ll see you on the trails!

Mountain Dell

All open trails groomed Monday night for skate only. Classic track was set Sunday night and remains in good condition. Overall coverage remains good thanks to our snow moving team. Be sure to join us Saturday evening at 6pm for the Moonlight Ski, details on the homepage of the TUNA website. Enjoy!

Repeat. Spring skiing continues with no snow in sight. All trails groomed and open with firm conditions early and a disturbing warming trend in the afternoon. Great for skiing and SPF adventures, not as great for the longevity of the track. Coverage is still 100% but we’ll see some thinning over the next week. Very cold overnight temps are our best friend. PLease remember to wear your mask when indoors at the Nordic Center. A couple minutes to help keep everyone safe and healthy is a small price to pay. You certainly learn a lot about people when you ask them to please mask up. Stay safe and we’ll see you on the trails!

All open loops other than World Cup groomed Sunday evening for both skate and classic. The lower section of the Lower Loop is closed below Cullen’s Cutoff but otherwise the entire course is open and in good shape.

East Canyon Highway groomed midday Sunday for skate to the top (5.4 mi. / 8.7 km). Particularly nice skating conditions, apart from a few small areas of windblown dirt that will momentarily put on the brakes. User-maintained classic seemed in pretty good shape. Working solo today and in today’s conditions, it was going to be difficult to improve upon, so classic track set a few days ago left untouched.

Continued great skiing. Very cold overnights are keeping us in good shape despite the relentless drought. Slight warming trend in the afternoons will become challenging in the next few weeks, but for now, get here and ski while it’s so good. The alpine areas would call it machine groomed packed powder. close enough for today. All trails groomed and open with great coverage. Please remember to wear your mask while indoors at the Nordic Center. Helping everyone stay healthy helps keep us open and grooming for you.

All open loops groomed Saturday night for skate, including World Cup. Existing classic is holding up nicely given our lack of snow. The theme for Sunday will be firm and fast…enjoy!

Spruces and Jordan Pines freshly groomed for skate and classic Saturday morning. Come up and enjoy some 5-star sliding in the sunshine on your National Forest Service public lands. Say “hello and thank you” to your local USFS local trails coordinator/supervisor Matt Hales who has made this wonderful track possible for all to enjoy. Cheers!
