Michael and Tim started sled packing at 9 am (25 degrees) to attack 6 inches of overnight blowing snow. It continued to blow and snow up until we left at 11 am. The conditions are very soft and subject to drifting snow. We groomed Mitten, Main, Lollipop, and Kid’s cutoff. The best skiing will be after this storm passes through.

What a storm!! We have received over 16 inches of snow over the past 24 hours. High winds have caused major drifting out on the trails. We are currently packing the lower track but have yet to groom for skate or set a classic lane. The hope is to have the lower trail open by early afternoon. The Upper trail will be attended to after completion of the lower trail. Feel free to call the Nordic Center (435-649-2700) for any further updates. Thank you for your patience!! White Pine
Happy Spring? Another fresh 18″ of snow yesterday and overnight, snow early, maybe a little less snow later in the day. We’ll have great classic ski expedition conditions all day. We won’t get to the Farm today due to the wind and deeply drifted snow. 3k, 5k and Armstrong trails are deep, groomed and soft. Back to blue wax today given the wind and compacted snow. Skating will be soft and slow, classic tracks are set and should be great for kicking around. It will be a great day for bundling up and playing in the snow! It will be slow today. If your skis aren’t waxed, you should really consider it.
Trail compacted base is back up to 40″ in most places

Grooming is happening right now as I type this (7:58am) and they will likely groom at least half the trail system. It is, inconceivably, snowing as well. What a year! Come early to get the best classic tracks. Trend is colder so the good skating may last longer than yesterday. Snow and another couple inches during the day perhaps.

About 12 inches of fresh the last two days on top of a firm track should make for great classic ski conditions all day. We won’t get to the Farm today due to the wind and snow. 3k, 5k and Armstrong trails are deep, groomed and open. Red/Violet wax today given the moisture in the snow. Skating will be soft and slow, classic tracks are set and should be great for kicking around. It will be a great day for playing in the snow! It will be sticky and even slower if your skis aren’t waxed.
WE WILL BE OPEN UNTIL APRIL 9th . Get over here and ski. We’ll have been open on snow for 144 days by then this season.

Good morning,
The Lower Track has been groomed for skate and a classic lane was reset. Due to sticky snow conditions, the skate lane did not groom up well. The classic lane is in better shape and should be good for skiing. The Upper Track will be completed later this morning. We received about 4-5 inches of new snow. Conditions are soft this morning and snow is sticky so, make sure to apply your wax! On and off snow expected today with more on the way tonight.

The Park CIty Council will be voting tonight to approve or deny our request to stay open through April 9th. Stay tuned or tune in to the meeting. We are on the consent agenda and are hoping it will go well for you and for us. If we do not receive approval we will be closing April 1 as specified in our concession contract with Park City Municipal Corporation.

Thursday groom will happen in the morning around 6AM. Thus far we know there is wet snow falling, the temperature will drop below freezing and we may end up trying to groom an ice rink… I would not go up tomorrow until some additional information is available. Sleep in, say yes to the extra Latte, three cheers for a great season and the best crew on the planet.

The Upper and Lower tracks have been groomed for skate and are in good shape. We did not set new classic. We received about 2 inches of new snow. Conditions are a little softer and skiing should be good. Come on out and enjoy the trails. More snow is on the way!
