THE SHOP IS OPEN 9-5 TODAY. THE 3km “Community Loop” trail is closed. We went from “day to day” to “no way” in yesterday’s unseasonable heat. None of our ski trails are currently open and the forecast for the next several days is good for cycling or hiking, not so good for skiing. We know it’s going to be a challenge when the temperature is higher than the travel speed on 224.
Please no walking and no dog walking on the trails. It is a great time to pick up your pass, find that perfect gift for your favorite skier and bring in your skis so they’re ready to go when the snow returns! It will continue to be extremely warm this week. it’s simply been too warm to hold the snow. Please be careful out there and have fun! Skiing open on our 1 km loop for season passholders today from 8:30-noon: All week we are welcoming every middle school child for a 1 1/2 hour ski session from 9-10:30. We apologize for the crowded track! Keep thinking cold thoughts!!!!!!!

We are trying to save as much snow as we can and skate tracks will cut to the grass and pavements leading to accelerated melting and no skiing for anyone. No other trails are currently open and we are assessing the 3km trail day to day.

It will continue to be extremely warm this week, please work with us to keep the trail open. By midday, please stay off the trail, it’s simply too warm to hold the snow. There will be 133 kids skiing on the track from 9-11 this morning, so it might be a less crowded experience to come before or after that time. We are blowing snow up the wazoo! The 1 km out and back is in great shape!

THE SHOP IS OPEN TODAY. But alas, not the trails quite yet. We are packing down some trail today to see how it comes out and to save the base for this week’s very warm predicted temperatures. Please stay off the trail areas today unless we update later. If we are able to “open” the 3km, it will be classic skiing only, NO SKATING, and there will not be a classic track set. We still really need some more snow in order to get going. We will update our website trail report as needed, but please let the base firm up so that everyone can have a quality ski experience for the entire season.

Hello out there. With the overnight storm, we decided to go out, take a few laps and see what was possible to groom. We managed to roll the Upper Loop, but couldn’t get to everything due to some thin spots. The Lower Loop and Jordan Pines don’t have enough snow yet and we likely need another couple of storms before things really start filling in. Hopefully there will be some more snow soon and we can get everything going for the season. Sushi Scale: Just a bowl of rice

We haven’t opened up for the season yet but will let you know as soon as we get closer. We received 4 inches of wet snow overnight. We need a foot of base before we can pack it and start grooming.
We are currently selling season passes and punch passes so come in and get set up for the season. Soldier Hollow
Soldier Hollow has opened for the Preseason, meaning season passholders only can ski from 830-1200. Today we have about 1k groomed on manmade snow. It is snowing lightly and conditions are soft as there was not a hard freeze. It is 33F out there now with a high of 40F expected. Lodge is open at those times and you can show up and buy a pass or pick up pass if you purchased online.

We still really need some more in order to get going. It looks colder overnight Sunday, so that will pull moisture from the snow and let us get equipment on it. Very much looking forward to the predicted storm tomorrow and Saturday! We received a blanket of snow last week but we still really need a thick comforter in order to get going.
