A balmy -3°F this morning at Spruces. Matt and Dave groomed and set track on Tuesday and we received about an inch yesterday. Skiing will be very good today and snow is expected this weekend.

White Pine

Very cold this morning 3F. All trails are groomed and set but will be a bit slow early due to the cold. Firm conditions most of the day. Blue wax classic in the morning, Blue wax skate in the afternoon. Bundle up and stay warm today. Please purchase and display your pass while skiing. If we can see it, we won’t stop you to ask. Help us remind dog owners, bikers and walkers that the Basin trails and Round Valley are perfect places to go for those activities. Stay safe and ski aware!

Mountain Dell

Mountain Dell was Groomed Wednesday evening. Skate and Classic lanes were reset on the Main, Mitten, Lower to Cullen’s, Kids Cut-Off, Lollipop, Creek Loop and Boomerang. Park Road By-pass had a new skate lane created.

Skiing should be very good on the skate lanes and and good to excellent in most classic lanes sets.

Have a great day out there!

Groomed for skate to Big Mountain pass. Classic set from the gate to the first switchback. Deep ruts from snowmobile skis couldn’t be fully erased so it skis a bit grabby. Firm base with a softer inch on top makes for a good conditions overall. Very few folks had been on it when I left before sunset, so should be nice in the morning.

Main, Mitten, Lollipop, Boomerang, Creek, and Lower to Cullens groomed for skate and classic. Skate should ski well today. Classic is good in some sections. Acceptable in others.

Classic setting proved to be a challenge today! Enjoy!

White Pine

Another Spring skiing day! Everything groomed and set. A firm track this morning making way for an afternoon of spring conditions. Wax and structure accordingly. Maybe a little breezy later but other than that SPF50 is the order of the day. Thank you for helping us stay safe and healthy by wearing your two layer/N95 masks in the shop and practicing good distancing. If you encounter walkers, dogs or bikers on the trails, please help us remind them that the Basin Trails and the Round Valley Trails are perfect locations for those activities. Stay safe and ski aware! We’ll see you outside today!

Solitude Nordic

Warm and windy this morning at Solitude and that wind will affect the lake squiggles with spindrift settling into the tracks. So, excellent skiing is in the trees and the Redman Loops. Fine, cold, untransformed snow is what we’ve got. Come up and enjoy our trails.

Mountain Dell

All trails were groomed last night. Classic was reset with decent results. Skate skiing should be good. Coverage is good in most places., but watch out for the rare thin spot – we pulled out our shovels a couple times to to mitigate some offensive thin spots, but you never know if we missed something in the dark. Weather for tomorrow will be mostly sunny. Early, the track will be firm. As the day goes on, the conditions will soften with temps maxing out in the high 30’s late afternoon. Get out there and enjoy the track.
Cheers, Brock and Dan

A solid, ice free and near perfect groom to the top of Big Mountain exists from Saturday night’s groom. To make it even more perfect by erasing rough spots from walkers, it’s currently receiving a touch up to the skate lane from the gate to the pass to make it more blissful. The classic is being reset above the first switchback.

Our season at Big Mountain is usually finished (by contract) at the end of February. Big news Big Mountain lovers; our season has been extended to the first two weeks of March! Ski on!
