White Pine

All of our trails are open again! Another dusting of snow came in overnight. We’ll take every flake! Our snowcat was out prowling last night and making tracks. The Farm, dog loop and 3k were snowcat groomed and are open today. Conditions will be soft but getting better through the day. We’ll be grooming and setting classic on the 5k loop this morning. We are treating it gently due to snow depth in a few areas and to help protect the golf course turf. Classic skiing will be fantastic again today. Conditions will be very good and cappuccino creamy with excellent skating. It looks like we’ll be rewarded with great skiing all week. Be sure to purchase and display your trail pass! Poaching is bad Karma (and is illegal on the fee trails)
Temperatures will be just below freezing all day which means that it will be blue/violet for kick and violet/red for glide. Skiing will be a bit sticky if your skis are not waxed or structured well. Please pay attention to where you are going out there. Be aware of icy patches in the parking lot and walkways. Walk with care in your ski boots. We are working together with Park City to make your community resource as wonderful as we can year-round. The store and service shop are OPEN all day. We can wax your skis and upgrade your gear as needed.

No walking, dogs, running, cycling, driving or trespassing on the trails. If you need to take a physical and/or mental therapy getaway or a social media break we’re here for you. It will be a great afternoon to drop off your skis for a soothing wax spa treatment after your ski. Slip on your good gloves, lace up and go play outdoors. Enjoy a warm mug before you head out, spread Joy on the trails, look for bunny tracks, be safe and be kind. Thank you for being part of our amazing community and reading this far into this wordy trail report. Go for a ski and then drop in the store to say hi. This is a non-grooming report. Just a heads up that the trails in Fairview will not be groomed the remainder of the week since your groomer is out of town during this time. Let’s see what next week brings. As of Monday 2/17, coverage was good for skating, a bit thin for classic.

Good Morning!!

Winter has returned!!

We have received another 3+ inches of snow since yesterday. The lower trail is all set for skate and classic. The connector trail on #18 and #17 is closed at this time until it receives more snow. The snow conditions are soft from the new snow and mild temperatures. The upper trail is being groomed this morning for skate and we hope to get the classic lane set as well. Please ski with caution over the bridges as they are in good shape but thin in spots.

Feel free to reach out to the Nordic/Golf Shop with any questions. We will keep you all updated as soon as we have any information.

Happy President’s Day!!

Another couple inches came in overnight and snowing this morning. We’ll take every flake. That gives us over 12 inches this past week. We’ll be grooming and setting classic on the full 5k loop, the 3k and Armstrong this morning. We are treating it gently due to snow depth in a few areas and to help protect the golf course turf. Classic skiing will be excellent today. Conditions will be very good and creamy on the 5k with excellent skiing. Definitely a foamy latte surface on the 3k and Armstrong. It looks like we’ll be rewarded with great skiing all week.
Temperatures will be floating around freezing all day which means that it will be blue/violet for kick and violet/red for glide. Skiing will be a bit sticky if your skis are not waxed or structured well. The surface will be changing through the day and we will see some more flakes. Please pay attention to where you are going out there. Be aware of icy patches in the parking lot and walkways. Walk with care in your ski boots. No new snow last 24 hours but afternoon winds resulted yesterday is some drifting into the classic tracks and across the skate lane n places. So all trails re groomed this morning. Again, classic track in places may contact ground or at least low snow amounts since the base remains shallow. But overall, skiing should be great and in particular skating.

Good Morning!!

We are back open!!

We have received enough snow to reopen the lower trail for skate and classic. The connector trail on #18 and #17 is closed at this time until it receives more snow. The snow conditions are soft from warm overnight temperatures. The upper trail is still closed as we are packing and grooming it today. We hope to open the upper trail in the next hour. Be careful on the bridges as the snow coverage is thin in spots.
