Good morning,

We are packing and grooming right now. Conditions will be soft due to the huge snow storm we had yesterday. Expecting to have the lower skate and classic set by 10:30am. The upper track will be set around 11:30am.

Our last day will be Sunday, April 9th for the season. We are starting golf course snow removal to begin course maintenance.

Have a great weekend!

Happy April 1st! We are considering just cancelling golf season this year and having skiing year-round. It should be a beautiful day in reality and all trails are being groomed and will be open after yesterday’s big storm. Lou is recommending blue klister tip to tail for those of you completely opposed to gliding. Red wax might be a good bet for those more inclined to move on the snow.

One more week and we are done grooming for the season. Ski while you can. It’s not too late to book a lesson either. Classic and skate should both be a little soft but firming up through the day. And guess what? more snow coming soon. Catch the sun while you can.

Come and pick up your WCS season awards now! Only one more week until we close after a 145 on-snow season.

Friday afternoon and night four of us put in a total of 18 grooming hours on 65. Several feet of wet, heavy snow has piled up since the previous groom on Tuesday. After those 18 hours, we have 1.5 miles of mostly poor skate track and a few stretches of acceptable classic track. Yup, it was a struggle. A whole lot more snow coming Monday, and we will start over.

Soldier Hollow

We received 3 inches of snow so far and groomed it up just before opening! Skiing should be fun and adventurous! Come enjoy this superlative last day of March (not going out like a lamb just yet). Only 3 more days left of being open! Come take advantage!

Winter, the sequel.. 5 inches of snow overnight with wind and drifting. Focus on the 3k and 5k until the storm settles. Fresh groom and even more snow will make for soft and slow skiing today. Classic and skate will be good today with a little patience. A bit less sticky with the colder morning air and drier snow. Wax up! Blue/Red wax today and well waxed classic skis. Ski safe in our final 9 days! We’ll get to the Farm maybe late in the day depending on wind and snow. Get over here and ski! April 9th will be the end of grooming and closing of the shop.

Come in a get your new gear on sale! Your WCS season awards are here too!

Drive safe today. Plenty of parking available at the Hotel lot above and below ground.

Spruces

1-2 feet of snow at Spruces this week. I sledpacked and rolled Spruces and Jordan Pines. Please note, this weekend will likely be the last time I groom the Jordan Pines trail. We will continue to groom Spruces until April 15, and then will cease grooming operations. Thanks.

Good Morning,

Another few inches of snow fell last night and early this morning. The upper and lower tracks have been groomed for classic and skate. The classic tracks are in great condition. The skate lane is still soft after the tracks did not freeze overnight. There is a chance for more snow in the forecast starting later this evening through Friday morning. It will be a nice, mild overcast day. Come on out and ski the trails at Jeremy Ranch!

Have a great day,

Winter keeps coming back to the door and demanding to be let in! 3 inches of snow overnight with about the same expected later this afternoon. Fresh groom on all trails will make for fun skiing today. Classic and skate will be great again today potentially a bit sticky with the warmer morning air and wetter snow. Wax up! Red wax today and well waxed classic skis. Ski safe in our final 10 days! We’ll be starting on the 3k, 5k and Armstrong today. We’ll get to the Farm after those are groomed.

Get over here and ski! April 9th will be the end of grooming and the closing of the shop. Please purchase and display your trail pass and use the trails for skiing only. A resident with a $100k electric pickup truck tried to access the trail yesterday. Barely made it off the pavement before it broke through the crust and sank. Your $24 day pass allows you to stay on top of the trail and have a much better afternoon.

Get in to the Nordic Center and claim your WCS season awards! Impress your friends while you humblebrag about your skiing and sip from your WCS insulated mug.

Winter keeps knocking on the door and demanding to be let in! Then coming back every day as a reminder. Maybe a few signs of warming temperatures with wind later. After yesterday’s dry drifting, fresh groom on all trails will make for a fun track today. Classic and skate will be great again today potentially a bit sticky with the warmer air. Wax up! Yesterday was so good, you really missed out if you weren’t able to ski with us. Red wax today and well waxed classic skis. Ski safe in our final couple of weeks! We’ll be focussed on the 3k, 5k and Armstrong today. We’ll get to the Farm after those are groomed. Get over here and ski! April 9th will be the end of grooming.
