Good Morning,

What a great start to the day! Sun is shining and the trails are gliding!! We groomed for both skate and classic on the upper and lower track. Both tracks groomed up really well, and are skiing firm and fast. They should hold up that way all day with the colder temperatures. Enjoy the bluebird day!

Have a great day,

If you are visiting this week from out of town, please note that the ski trails are for skiing only. The gentleman from California who thought the trails were a road for driving his rental SUV on was cited for trespass, removed from the trail and paid for the damage. We have photos. Don’t be that person. It’s always something new at the Nordic Center!

Another beautiful sunrise in Park CIty! Happy Valentine’s Day Eve! Chocolate is nice, flowers will fade, but a gift of lifelong healthy activity shared with someone you love lasts. Not quite as cold overnight, it was 20 degrees before sunrise and warming to slightly above freezing today. Come out and play! Great snow, warming temperatures and sunshine early! All trails are open and we’ll be touching up the grooming on all 22km again today. Conditions will be packed powder early and the surface may soften a bit later in the day. Trails will be firm but not icy. We’ll have excellent classic conditions all day on the established track. Skating will be very good and get faster during the day. As the sun comes out it will feel warmer but the trail surface will stay cold all day. Drive with care and patience, walk with care in your ski boots and ski with Joy! Please purchase your pass and wear it. Blue wax for kick and glide today, possibly red later in the day. Please continue to be aware, be careful and ski within your abilities. Ride the bus, micro transit, carpool, skateboard, cycle, e-bike or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips helps! Come play in the snow, share the adventure, say hello to your fellow skiers, visit the ducks and have another Joyful ski day!

Tuesday Grooming report. All open loops groomed for skate Monday night. Classic was not reset but is still in great shape from Sunday night. Currently Main, Mitten, Boomerang, Wiggle Room and Lollitop are open. Crews will be on track moving snow on Tuesday, please try and avoid areas they are working. These snow moving efforts help us to keep skiing in between storms. Friendly reminder that grooming will almost always take place in the evenings if there is no snow forecasted overnight. If night skiing is your jam, please consider doing it when there is 1″ or more of snow forecasted overnight. Tuesday skiing should be deluxe, enjoy!

Trails groomed this morning. Went over the skate lane once and then re-set classic tracks. Just a bit of new fluffy snow Saturday night to groom in. Great winter day out there and trails are in excellent condition for your enjoyment.

All trail are open and we’ll be touching up the grooming on all 22km today. Conditions will be squeaky packed powder most of the day. Trails will be firm but not icy today with all the new snow and cold temperatures. We’ll have excellent classic conditions all day. It is absolutely beautiful again this morning.

Monday Grooming Report from Jerry and Tim

At 6;00 PM Sunday, Main, Mitten, Kid’s Cutoff, Wiggleroom, Boomerang, and Lollitop were groomed for skate and classic. The temperature was in the high 20″s so the tracks should firm up by morning. The skiing should be very good Monday. enjoy.

The upper loops were groomed this morning for skate and classic. Conditions are beautiful! The lower trails were groomed for skate, but not classic. Clearing snow from the parking lot has left a significant mogul field on the connector from the pavilion to the lower trails. Be VERY careful if you use the connector. But once you get the the lower Nursery/Count Max’s trails conditions are wonderful.

The groom to the top on Friday night is holding up very well due to the hard freezes and cool daytime temperatures. The classic lane is still crisp, the skate lane not carved too deeply, and there are few walker tracks. Even the snowmobiles have stayed to the far right. Perhaps the new signs are working. Thank you! At any rate, go ski a beautiful place before some sort of spectator-sport party this afternoon.
