Currently 22 F with clouds and a forecasted high of 46 F. There is 5 k of blown snow from the lodge up the hollow to the junction with Pony Express, down around the CMB, up Cabin Loop, part of Hermodes and the Sprint Loop. Surface is groomed with tracks set. Snowmaking efforts continue radiating out from the groomed loop. Due to the cold temperatures, snow is being made during the day and the tracks can get filled in as the day goes on, so please be cautious out there. Spin and Grin is melted, but the Upper Hollow is still skiable, albeit not groomed. Please be aware that any trail without snowmaking is ski at your own risk.

Our busy holiday week continues! Come share the Joy of skiing. We are open 9-5 daily. Very much a repeat of yesterday and the day before and the day before. Another very cold morning and mid-30’s afternoon temperatures will make for a sunny warming day again. Just a light resurfacing groom this morning and using what is remaining of the established classic track due to thin conditions. It will be firm and fast this morning. We can’t effectively reset classic tracks until we get some more snow. Blue wax early, red later in the afternoon. Skating will be good and fast early. Crust cruising will be good this morning. Classic is much like yesterday, improving over the day. We have ~10km of skiing open. Remember to ski with care, those thinning spots, icy spots and exposed areas are rising to the surface. Please ride the bus, micro transit, carpool or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips helps! We’ve groomed the 3k, 5k and Armstrong. The dog loop is ok-ish, almost completely skiable. Wax cards and all of the waxes from basic to super fast are in the shop. Go play in the snow, share the Joy! Early season conditions exist occasional rocks, sticks, and uneven track especially going up and down New Sensation and Cabin Fever.

If you have old Flouro waxes bring them in to the recycling bin in the shop and we’ll give you 25% off Flouro Free high performance replacement sprays and hard waxes. Happy Boxing Day! We still have a beautiful 2km loop from the lodge to the stadium. More snow is being blown and we plan to open more trails for US Nationals next week. We are open from 8:30-4:30, 7 days a week with extended hours on Tuesday and Thursday for partially lit skiing until 6:30pm.
