All trails groomed for skate and classic. The power company is done fixing the lines, so all trails are open and smooth sailing is on the menu for today. At 8am: 18° with gentle snow and winds, with a high of 29°.
White Pine
Cold overnight and just a few snowflakes floating down this morning. A beautiful start to a wintery day! We received another 3 inches of snow yesterday during the day. We’re rolling and packing the 3km, 5km and Armstrong trails first, then we’ll work our way to the dog loop after the core trails are done. The skate and classic track will be soft and smooth with the new snow. All trails but the Farm are open. We need to go dig out the very high plow berms on the road crossings before we can get our grooming equipment safely in and out. Grooming focus will be on the core near the nordic center first. Blue wax today early, red later in the afternoon. The skiing won’t be fast early, but it will be another beautiful day to be out.
Watch for icy walkways and use the handrails! Please drive safely, walk with care in your ski boots and ski with Joy! Be aware, be careful and ski within your abilities. PLEASE ride the bus, micro transit, carpool, skateboard, cycle, e-bike or walk if you can. All loops except World Cup groomed for skate Monday night. In addition, classic was reset on all loops except Lower Below Cullen’s and World Cup. Conditions on the Lower Below Cullen’s remain a bit soft and expect some wind drifted areas. There are thin areas on the Lower Below Cullen’s as well as the Creek Loop. Beware on the Creek loop where the classic pressed right down to the ground in a few areas. Overall, both classic and skate skiing should be very good to excellent Tuesday. Come up to Mtn. Dell and enjoy some epic early March sliding conditions. Cheers!
Fairview
Wow, not sure how others did but Fairview was hammered by the recent storm. I shoveled two feet of snow on the path into the track from the parking lot, although it tends to drift in there. Today all I could do was sled pack the trail system. But this amount of snow should extend a season which was on its last legs a week ago with sun and some warm days.
Expect the track to be groomed Tuesday morning early, skating and classic. It should set up overnight tonight and give me good snow to work with. March is usually about when we have to quit but if Mother Nature cooperates with at least cold nights, we may keep skiing a bit longer than usual.

Groomed to the first switchback for skate and classic. There were about 5″ at the gate and 8″ at the switchback. The snow quality made for perhaps the nicest classic tracks of the season. The skate lane cleaned up nicely and there were few skiers on it when we finished shortly before sunset. The freeze tonight should help make this your destination in the morning.

It’s been a snowy start to the day. The upper and lower track have been groomed for skate and the classic lanes were reset. It’s snowing now but should stop in the next couple hours. Should be soft skiing initially but get firmer as the day goes on. Come on enjoy the trails!!

A beautiful winter morning with cold temperatures. Snowing at 7 but it should stop later in the day. We’re rolling and packing the 3 and 5km trails first, then we’ll go down to towards farm after the core trails are done. The skate and classic track will be soft and smooth with the new snow. All trails are open, but grooming focus will be on the core near the nordic center first. Blue or Violet wax today. The skiing won’t be fast, but it will be beautiful out.

Mountain Dell groomed Sunday evening, all loops other than World Cup groomed and open. Skate only on the Lower Loop below Cullen’s Cutoff, otherwise everything is groomed for both skate and classic.

Main, Mitten, Lower to Cullens, “Lollitop”, Park Road Bypass, Kids Cutoff, Wiggle Room and Boomerang were all groomed for skate and classic today. We got somewhere between 6 and 12+ inches, so hopefully this will buy us another week or two of skiing! The wind was picking up a little as we were wrapping up but the skiing should be pretty good, so go put on your face buff and get on out there! Oliver & Greg

By Sunday morning we got about 14″ of Wasatch Finest. Practice, Upper, and Pavilion Loops are groomed for skate and classic. Skate will be a little soft but very forgiving. Classic is beautiful! There is a blow-down tree blocking machine access to the lower loops – Nursery and Count Max’s. You can walk/ski around it but those lower trails are not groomed — fantastic opportunity to get in some trail-breaking in fresh powder.

The snow has come back!! We got 6 new inches of fresh snow in the last 24 hours. The upper and lower track have been groomed for skate and classic lanes were reset. With all the new snow the conditions will be soft. Another great day to ski!!
