Like they say, March is in like a lion! 3″ since yesterday, forecast calls for 7″ more throughout today. 15° at 8am, high of 24°. All trails groomed for skate and classic this morning.

Spruces

More and more snow at Spruces. We sledpacked and rolled Spruces and Jordan Pines today. Just used the roller so it may have some bumps. Too soft and deep to use the ginzu groomer today. The snow is so deep now that many branches are in the skiers path – I have been trimming branches this winter but have not got to this latest round. I will try to later this week. A Fir came down and is hung up at the start of Count Max’s loop, pushing some aspens down into the path as well. This will be a chainsaw job, its on my list to do. There are resident moose on the lower Spruces loop, please give them space and leave them alone. More snow coming this week. Come up and enjoy.

Mountain Dell

Arrived this morning to 6+ inches of new snow. We groomed most trails for skate including lower/lower and world cup and set classic track on Main, Mitten, Kids, Creek and Lollipop. We did not get to Wiggle room or Boomerang. Track turned out soft but pretty. Couple areas, mostly lower have been affected by drifting and blowing snow. Please get out and enjoy!!

Good Morning!!

We received 4-5 inches of heavy, wet snow in the overnight hours. The lower track has been packed and groomed for skate and a new classic lane has been set as well. We are currently working on the upper track and should have it groomed for skate and classic skiing before the noon hour. Conditions are soft and slow for skating but it will be a great day for a classic ski!!

Have a wonderful Tuesday!!

Soldier Hollow

Lots more fresh snow maybe 6-9 inches! Is there such a thing as too much? 1/5 and counting of the trails groomed this morning (and I see snowcats out and about as I write this) and 2/3 were groomed late last night. Those will have a quantity of snow sitting on top of the groom job depending on when the snow fell. You will never see Soldier Hollow snowier… until tomorrow or Thursday perhaps! In any case calling all trailbreakers and lovers of powder snow.

White Pine

SNOW!

Non-stop Winter in the snow globe. Another 12″+ of new snow with wind drifting overnight. 5k is groomed at 7:30 with steady snow falling. 3k and and Armstrong a little closer to 8:30 for our 9 am opening time. Farm will have to wait until the wind subsides and the snow eases. Be cautious on the roads and the hotel parking lot. Both are snow packed. The main hotel parking door is still broken but the other entrance works fine. Soft conditions all day, classic will be very very good. Skating might be adventurous early.

Poles and your skis all on sale. Might be a great day to visit the shop to warm up between laps. Roads and parking will be the most difficult and dangerous part of your day!

2-5” of fresh powder this morning. All loops other than the Lower (no grooming today on any portion of the Lower Loop below the Mitten) and World Cup freshly groomed Monday morning for both skate and classic.

White Pine

Another beautiful ski day at White Pine! Not quite as cold with more snow expected this afternoon. About 3 inches overnight. All trails groomed and open for you. 3k and 5k first followed by the rest. Soft conditions possibly breezy later. Skate early with red wax, blue wax classic later when the snow arrives!

More snow expected later today and tonight so conditions will remain very winter like. Poles and youth gear on sale now.

Good Morning,

We have groomed the upper and lower tracks for classic and skate. We had some snow drift overnight from some high winds. The winds have died down and we were able to reset the classic lanes on all 7km of trails. It’s a warmer Nordic ski day before we receive even more snow these next few days. Come and ski before it starts dumping snow!

Happy Sunday,
