Sanpete skiers, we have had several small snowfalls over the last month, including last night. There is not enough snow to begin machine grooming but there is enough to go out and make your own classic tracks. Best if you can find open areas with some old snow underneath the new.

White Pine

Cold conditions this morning. Should be great skiing! 3k, 5k and Armstrong all groomed and open. Please be patient with the Farm, it’s only December 6th. There are numerous rocks and hazards just under the snow and if we pack it people will try to ski it and get hurt. We don’t want that and you don’t want that.

Crunch time for PARKING! The proposal is on the PC Council website for daily 10am to 6pm carpool parking along Thaynes Canyon with dedicated spaces for para-athletes. It is a good compromise and serves ALL of our communities of all ages and abilities. Please offer your support to the Council vote by either showing up Thursday at council chambers at 6:15 or contact the Mayor and Council with your support. Every single skier and human powered recreationist matters to us at White Pine Touring. Your support has been tremendous and we are so close to closing the chapter on the parking saga for the winter season. Please help.

Todd and Jason groomed Monday night, cleaning up the skate lanes on Main, Mitten, Lollipop, and Park Road Bypass. Classic is thin and icy, and classic skiing might be a bit rough. Skate is predictable and coverage is mostly adequate, but rock skis are recommended, and keep your eyes open. Maybe some fresh at the weekend.

Jerry and Cary groomed Monday morning, combing out the light 1.5 inches that fell overnight. Fresh skate and classic on Main, Mitten, Lollipop, Boomerang and Park Road Bypass. Closed Creek. Kids Cutoff is very thin. Use caution in classic track near and under trees. In some places it is set to the grass. Rock skis still a good idea.

White Pine

2-3 inches of fresh snow after a very warm day yesterday. It should turn into nice skiing later with some clearing and moderately cold temps. 3k, 5k and Armstrong still in play with fewer leaves on the 5k now. Crunch time for parking. Council vote is Thursday approximately 6:15 is the meeting time. we are last on the agenda. Your support to reopen the spaces for carpools and para skiers would be greatly appreciated. Every space helps as does your carpooling. ski with friends, ride with friends.

White Pine

Another glorious winter day at White Pine! 3k, 5k and Armstrong are being groomed right now! Come up and ski and check out all the new gear and waxes.

Parking information coming soon, please support us in person or virtually on Thursday. Park City Municipal Corp. has put us in an interesting situation.

Soldier Hollow

No new snow, yet. Matt’s groom from yesterday is still good, so we’ll ski that again today as we look at more snow in the forecast.
