Friday we will not have a groomed track at Mountain Dell. Forecast as of 6 A.M . Friday is for more than five inches of snow to fall by noon Friday, so any groom this morning would be quickly covered. We will have machines on track this afternoon track packing, but this is not the same as a groomed trail. Forecast suggests that snow will continue, with up to an additional 12 inches falling on course by noon Saturday. We will try to have groomed track open Saturday, but it will not likely be done before noon, so don’t rush to get here. Saturday will be cloudy with a high of 28, so the snow should stay cold.

Main, Mitten, Lower to Swanson’s, Lollypop, Kid’s Cutoff and Park Road groomed for skate and classic. Conditions will be soft for skating, classic skiing may be better. It was snowing hard at 9:30 AM. Enjoy while you can.

Good morning,

The Lower Track has been groomed for skate and a classic lane was reset. Due to sticky snow conditions, the skate lane did not groom up well. The classic lane is in better shape and should be good for skiing. The Upper Track will be completed later this morning. We received about 4-5 inches of new snow. Conditions are soft this morning and snow is sticky so, make sure to apply your wax! On and off snow expected today with more on the way tonight.

Have a great day!

Happy Spring! Another fresh layer of snow overnight, snow early, snow later in the day. About 6 inches of fresh the last two days on top of a firm track should make for great classic ski conditions all day. All trails are deep, groomed and open. Blue/Red/Violet wax today given the moisture in the snow. Skating will be soft and slow early, classic tracks are set. Should be a great day for playing in the snow! It will be sticky if your skis aren’t waxed.

WCS Season awards are available at the White Pine Touring Nordic Center. Come and pick yours up. The season participation mug will also be available beginning Friday.

The Park CIty Council will be voting tonight to approve or deny our request to stay open through April 9th. Stay tuned or tune in to the meeting. We are on the consent agenda and are hoping it will go well for you and for us. If we do not receive approval we will be closing April 1 as specified in our concession contract with Park City Municipal Corporation.

Thursday groom will happen in the morning around 6AM. Thus far we know there is wet snow falling, the temperature will drop below freezing and we may end up trying to groom an ice rink… I would not go up tomorrow until some additional information is available. Sleep in, say yes to the extra Latte, three cheers for a great season and the best crew on the planet.

Good Morning
All of the Mt, Dell loops, except World Cup, were groomed for Skate this morning. The existing classic tracks were in good to fair condition and coated with about an inch of new wet snow. Classic tracks exist on all loop except Lower below Cullen’s and World Cup, and should ski in nicely. At 6am the air temperature was 40 degrees, by 9am it had cooled to 36 degrees and was starting to snow. Conditions should be good all day. Enjoy

We will be on the course at 6am tomorrow morning and should have Mitten, Main, Lollipop, Boomerang, Wiggle and Kid’s Cut-Off groomed by 9am. If time allows other loops will be groomed. This report will be updated mid-morning tomorrow.

Arrived at the shop at 6:00am to 3+” of new snow. Groomed all loops except the Lower below Cullen’s and World Cup for skate and classic. Conditions will be soft, but one could not ask for a more beautiful spring day in the Wasatch. Suns out! Come up and get your slide on before the next storm rolls in and covers it all up once again. Enjoy!
