White Pine

A little dusting of snow overnight and this morning. All trails groomed and open today with excellent skiing conditions. The WCS race is tomorrow on the Farm so it will be open for public skiing after mid-day. Skip the Sundance madness and come ski today. Thank you for purchasing and displaying your passes! Remember, dogs are only allowed on our dog loop at White Pine Touring. There are numerous places to take your furry family member. Ask us if you don’t know. No dogs at the race on Saturday! They are not allowed on the Farm trail specifically and can be very disruptive to wildlife and racer safety.

We arrived to groom at the same time a large crew arrived to replace a utility pole at the pass. Crew vehicle and five snowmobiles would have destroyed our work, so it was left for them to track into oblivion. The forecast is snow starts tomorrow, with up to 18″ by Saturday evening. We’ll try again after the storm.

Good Morning,

What a great start to the day!! It’s a perfect bluebird day to come ski the Nordic trails. The upper and lower track have been groomed for skate and classic. They are both in great shape! The snow conditions are firm and fast which will hold up throughout the day from colder temperatures.

Mountain Dell

All trails are groomed this morning. Temp at 6 am was 14 degrees. There was a light cold snow about 1 inch deep. Temp at 8:30 17 degrees.
If you like chilly temps, clear skies, and blue wax conditions, you should ski today. The hoarfrost on the trees make Mountain Dell a winter wonderland. There was evidence of small and large critters throughout.

Ski trails groomed well,
Cold snow and chilly temps,
Winter wonderland calls.

Good Morning,

The lower track has been groomed for classic and skate. The snow conditions are firm and fast which will hold up throughout the day. Unfortunately, we’ve had mechanical issues and haven’t groomed the upper track. The upper track conditions are still good though from yesterday’s groom.

Have a great ski,

Two groomers out at 745am returning the trail conditions to perfection. Maybe a centimeter of silky snow on top of anything they don’t get to (and they got to everything yesterday) Come enjoy classic ski conditions more at home in Galena, ID than Utah. Or come skate the complete package and be ready for next month’s Grand Tour race.
