Grooming has been suspended until we get more snow. This afternoon, about 2 inches of semi-frozen slush was visible for at least the first few hundred yards. The yellow road line was visible through it. It’s unlikely to freeze sufficiently tonight because the low is only 39 degrees. If you try it in the morning, use rock skis. Use a very gentle push if skating to get through the thin section. Or try walking. Or going home. Not sure about the skate lane down low, but likely too thin to ski. Hopes not high for that tiny bit of snow in the forecast for Wednesday being any more than a tiny and insufficient amount to groom. Such dismay.

Good Morning,

Spring is here!! It is currently 50 degrees and temps should remain mild most of the day with a chance of rain this afternoon. We were unable to groom any trails this morning due to soft snow conditions. The skate lanes are ok but will remain soft going forward. The classic lanes will be better as they are holding from yesterday’s groom. Weather remains warm through Friday so check back with us daily for any updates on trail conditions.

Season passes, 10-punch ski passes and a great selection of Nordic merchandise are readily available. Come on in, warm up and have a look around!!

Have a great Sunday!!

Weather and Conditions: It is currently 47 F and overcast. there is a chance for rain throughout the day with an expected high of 47 as well (consistent at least)

Ski Trail Conditions:  our core trails were groomed last night. Our natural trails should still  be alright but be cautious incase any bare spots appear throughout the day.

White Pine

Springtime Sunday 45 degrees before sunrise, 50 degrees warmer than last week. We received about 3 inches of wet snow yesterday, not as much as predicted, but a nice freshen up of the trails. We’re looking at a breezy start to our day with very warm overnight and daytime temperatures. All trail surfaces are smooth and soft on top this morning after the overnight precipitation. Cappuccino foam on top. We will not be putting machines on the trail today to groom. It is too warm and the result wouldn’t be very good. We will groom as needed until this warm snap ends but it’s unlikely to be daily until it cools down.
All 22km of trails are open for skiing today with classic and skate tracks. Classic skiing will be very good with well waxed skin skis or fish scales. Skating will be good if you’re well waxed and have some wet structure on your skis. You’ll glide best with red wax. Grip wax will be very difficult today, classic skin skis will grip and glide best. The dog loop is open and running quite happily through the fields. The Farm is in great shape and is a fee area for skiing. No walking, dogs, running, cycling, driving or trespassing on the trails. A good universal liquid or paste wax on your fish scale classic skis (tip to tail) is always a great way to keep them from sticking as the snow changes during the day.
Bring your loved ones, friends and neighbors along to play on the snow and if you need to take a physical and/or mental therapy break we’re here for you every day. Drop off your skis when you’re done skiing for the day for an invigorating hot wax massage. Please purchase AND display your trail pass to access our trails. Glide with Joy, share the trails, ski safe and be kind. Thank you for being part of our amazing ski family and enjoying long trail reports. Grab that beanie, your gloves, snug up your laces and come play outside in the spring weather!

Today is a great day for classic skiing with the warm temperatures and soft surface. If you are skating please ride a flat ski and if you cutting in deeply PLEASE switch to classic gear. We are in snow maintenance mode for a few days to preserve the best of our trails until it cools down again. Ski smart!

Mountain Dell

Grooming of the Mtn Dell ski course will be postponed until we make it through this rain event. The warm temperatures and rainfall have taken their toll on the open trails but we are keeping a close eye on the forecast and the conditions on the course and will resume normal grooming operations as soon as possible.
In the meantime, skiers are still welcome at Mtn Dell. Rock skis are strongly recommended as the course will not be maintained over the next few days and there are a number of thin spots out there.
If you do go out, please ski with caution and have fun. If you choose to wait, we look forward to seeing you back out there when we get some more snow. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Nearly no snow overnight, but it is steadily falling now. We groomed all of the Upper and Lower Spruces Loops and Jordan Pines. We had the nice machine out today, but ran into some more electrical problems, so with that and the incoming snow, decided to not set classic today. Make sure you are prepared for the road if you decide to come up today. Sushi Scale: California Roll

Happy snowy Saturday! Not as much snow so far as predicted, but a nice freshen up of the trails. The Farm is closed until mid-day for the classic race, but will be open after the race concludes. We will not be regrooming after the race. We’re looking at a semi-snowy start to our day with warm temperatures and the potential for rain later in the day. The 3km, 5km and Armstrong trails will be groomed today and as needed depending on the snow. All 22km of trails are open for skiing today with classic and skate tracks. We’ll have a fresh wet snow surface on the trails this morning.
You’ll glide best with red wax. Grip wax will be red today, but classic skin skis will grip and glide best. The dog loop is open and running quite happily through the fields. The Farm is in great shape and is a fee area for skiing.
