Groomed all open trails for skate and classic tonight. It should be a fabulous day tomorrow. It’s cold out there, we left this evening and it was 14 degrees. I’m going to get out in the morning to ski some classic, it’ll be nice to break out the hardwax skis. Coverage is good in most spots, but watch out for thin areas.
Cheers,
Brock and Mike

Good morning! At 0755 it is -6°F/-21°C. All trails groomed this morning for classic and skate skiing. Rode Alaska snow.
White Pine
It is squeaky cold on the trails this morning. Very cold overnight again, so blue wax for grip and glide all day today. We’ll see a little sun today but expect winter temperatures all day with small chance of flurries late in the day. We’re grooming the 3k, 5k, Armstrong and the Dog Loop with classic and resurfaced skate lanes on everything. The dog loop is open and running playfully through the snow. The Farm will see more cultivation, so stay tuned for opening updates. We are letting the base settle and firm up before we open it. We are also looking for polite ways to keep runners off the trails. We are open to suggestions. Thank you for your patience with this most interesting winter we’ve been having.
Classic skiing will be good today and skate will also be quite good but a bit slow early on the cold track. Skiing will be a rewarding activity today no matter the technique. A good universal liquid or paste wax on your fish scale classic skis (tip to tail) is always helpful. Skin skis are a very good no-fuss classic option today. Bring your family, friends and neighbors along for the adventure and if you need to take a mid-day “therapy” break we’ll write you a note. Drop off your skis when you’re done for a well deserved overnight spa treatment.
Please purchase AND display your trail pass to access our trails. Everyone please ski with Joy, be kind to yourselves, breathe deeply and share the beautiful winter trails! Thank you for being part of our incredible community and being patient enough to read this far!
SR-65
Groomed this evening to then top. Classic below the monument didn’t take too well. The skate lane is free of deep ruts but is a little churned. All in all, tomorrow will be a fine day to ski the canyon.

White Pine
A light little dusting of snow on top of the trails this morning. Cold overnight again, so blue wax for grip and glide all day today. We may see a little sun later today but expect winter temperatures all day with small chance of flurries early. We’re grooming the 3k, 5k, Armstrong and the Dog Loop with fresh classic and resurfaced skate lanes on everything. Powdered sugar on top and a firm track below. It will be very much like a delicious Greek Kourabiedes shortbread.
The dog loop is open and running enthusiastically through the snow. The Farm will see basic cultivation, so stay tuned for opening updates. Thank you for your patience with this most interesting winter we’ve been having.

Mountain Dell
Report for Sunday, Jan 11. Mountain Dell is skiing great with skate and classic set Saturday night on Main, Mitten, Lollipop, and Wiggle Room. New terrain for Sunday: we have opened a portion of Lower, as far as Swanson’s cutoff. Much of that portion of Lower, plus Kid’s cutoff, Bypass and Boomerang were groomed for skate only (i.e. no classic track) but could be skied classically if so desired. The recent snow means there is good coverage throughout, with the exception of Wiggle, which still has a few blades of grass showing. Have fun!
Fairview
Fairview got an inch or two last night, most welcome! Both lower and upper loops were groomed this afternoon. A classic track has been set on both loops, however, it may be a little dicey on the lower loop in places due to still thin coverage. Ski with caution and heads up. Upper loop classic track will ski better for the time being. Skate lane looks good just about everywhere. Hoping for little or no wind so drifting snow out there does not become a problem. Cold temperatures all week should help maintain good skiing conditions.
Spruces
Soft snow and powder at spruces, marking another snowy weekend! We arrived to about 6 inches of snow this morning with more falling throughout the day. The Upper and Lower loops, along with Jordan Pines, are groomed but soft due to the fresh snowfall. We were unable to set classic track due to the amount of snow, but are looking to have things cleaned up and looking good after Tuesday. Happy Skiing!
