Maybe those snow dances are working! About 1 inch of good dense snow yesterday made for a great ski day. We’re able to reset shallow classic in most places and we’ll be watching to see how the expected snow today goes. The forecast calls for snow arriving late morning with some breezes. Skating will be very good, possibly getting a little more challenging if the snow comes in heavy later today. Classic should be quite good all day with the new snow. Come share the Joy of skiing. Colder temperatures mean higher performance blue wax or purple should be running well. We are open 9-5 daily.

Please continue to be careful and ski within your abilities. Early conditions will be hard pack under the new snow and fairly fast. Ski with awareness through the day and into the afternoon and keep an eye on the weather. Just a light resurfacing groom this morning and an update of the established classic track will help with classic conditions today. We have 12km of skiing open. Remember to ski with care, those thinning spots, icy spots and exposed areas are below the surface. Please ride the bus, micro transit, carpool, skateboard, cycle, e-bike or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips helps! We’ve groomed the 3k, 5k and Armstrong. The dog loop is ok-ish. Be sure to thank our incredible groomers when you see them. Lou, Roch, Matias, Mark, Joaqiun and Julian have been working extremely hard to make your ski experience the best it can be. And they have been doing a great job. None of that track and morning grooming happens by accident. And please if you see a stick, pinecone or willow branch on the trail, flick it off the trail. A cold morning and upper-30’s or warmer this afternoon as the storm front comes in will make for a spring-like day early and closer to winter later. Just a light resurfacing groom this morning and using what is remaining of the established classic track due to thin conditions. There is not enough snow depth to reset classic track and it is increasingly intermittent. It will be quite firm and fast this morning but softening slightly over the day. Red wax today. Skating will be good all day. Classic is much like the last week, firm, icy track early and some softening over the day. We have 12km of skiing open.
