Mountain Dell

Temp at 6am was -2 degrees F. Temp at 8:45 am was -5 degrees F.
About 2 inches of very light snow overnight.
Groomed for Classic and Skate: Main, Mitten, Lower, Lollipop, Creek, Wiggle Room, Boomerang and Kids Cutoff.
World Cup groomed for Skate.
Did not groom Cullen’s and Swanson’s cutoffs this morning. Lower Lower is pretty soft still, the rest is in good condition.

White Pine

Very cold conditions this morning. Bundle up and bring your warm mittens and a buff. Squeaky snow all day, time to dig out that green wax? all trails groomed and open with cold slow conditions.

Remember you can turn in your old toxic flouro waxes at the Nordic Center and get a 20% discount on non-flouro high performance and top speed race waxes. Help keep our water clean and do your part to dispose of PFAS securely.

Mountain Dell Grooming Report for Sunday, 1/29/23.

Groomed all loops for skate and classic except world cup. Easy to groom upper loops thanks to prior work. Lower loop was a different story. Beware of craters at top of driving range and at bottom of range just before rejoining Cullen’s cut-off.

Good Morning,

The upper and lower tracks have been groomed for classic and skate. The track conditions are soft since we had about 2 inches of fresh snow yesterday evening. It will be a great day to come ski but especially classic skiing. The snow should continue to fall throughout the day so trails may fill in a bit this afternoon.

Have a great Sunday,
Jeremy Ranch Nordic Center

White Pine

Another shake of the snow globe today. A trace of snow overnight after the 12″ yesterday. A bit more snow expected later this afternoon. Skiing is fantastic on soft conditions. Blue wax all week based on the forecast temperatures. All trails open. 3k, 5k and Armstrong first, the dog loop and farm a bit later. drop in and go for a ski. Sundance traffic is gone for this year so come on over. Thaynes parking will be open 12-6, otherwise the hotel parking is at your service.

Thank you everyone who came to the race yesterday. Quite a turnout on a stormy morning! Lost and found (clothes, wax, car keys, poles, etc) items are at the Nordic Center. The illegal flouro waxes that were left are in the Flouro collection container. A reminder Flouro waxes are not allowed in WCS races. Bring them in to the Nordic Center and you’ll qualify for discounts on High Performance Toko and Top Speed Swix non-flouro waxes. Let’s do our part to keep the watershed safe.

East Canyon was groomed today.
Classic and skate set to the first switchback. Both looked very good. (Judging from the smiles and thumbs up from skiers it must be good!)
Preliminary skate set above switchback.
Enjoy!

Heads up for considerations for your Saturday fun. Work began at 9:00 a.m., with plans to groom to Big Mountain pass for skate and classic. It takes several hours, but head up now before it gets buggered up by non-skiers.
