Thursday grooming will be in the morning due to overnight snow conditions. Most likely scenario is that we should have most of the course ready by about 10 AM, depending on conditions. So sleep in, go to breakfast, have another latte and the skiing should be ready for you.

More new anow at Spruces, maybe a foot or so. I groomed Spruces and Jordan Pines this afternoon. Set classic around Spruces. Should be nice for tomorrow!

Looks like another snowy day is upon us. We have groomed for skate and reset the classic this morning on all 7km. The snow conditions are firm on the skate and classic lanes. Tracks may fill in with snow throughout the day if the snow persists.

Ski trails open: Stadium area and some core trails are closed for Paranordic world cup until early to midafternoon. Otherwise, everything is open! ~25k of trails, with 7+ km of snowmaking trails but there is so much snow you can’t tell the difference between snowmaking vs natural.
Trail Conditions: All trails groomed last night! There are great classic tracks throughout the venue, and the skate skiing with be fabulous!

All trails groomed for skate and classic. 21° at 8:30am, high of 27° with light snow throughout the day and evening.

Tuesday Evening Groom Report
The skate lanes on all loop were groomed Tuesday evening, except the WC loop. The trail is firming up and skiing will be good tomorrow morning. the weather forecast is predicting 1-3″ tomorrow starting around noon. The classic track was not reset and is in good condition. Enjoy

Soldier Hollow
All trails groomed last night. There is a trace to a centimeter sitting on top of the groom job. Enough to make the skating quiet and silky but still fast and not enough to ruin the classic skiing. We also have more paranordic races today, including some biathlon. Partial trail closures in place until the races are over some time in the afternoon.

Trace of new snow overnight and 13°C/-11° at 0815. All trails groomed for classic and skate skiing. Beautiful snow, excellent hard wax classic conditions.
White Pine
Another dusting of snow overnight on top of yesterday’s snow. Some flurries expected through the day so soft conditions will continue. How about a sunny day dance instead of a snow dance today? Trails are being groomed, track set and will be open. 3k, 5k and Armstrong first, Farm and Dog Loop after. Well waxed skis glide well.. Ski safe, drive safe and enjoy the winter wonderland! Blue might be the order for wax. Classic will be fantastic, skate will be quite nice but soft. Watch for the moose on Armstrong. Give him all the space he needs.

All loops except World Cup groomed for skate and classic Monday night. Conditions are soft, but skiing should be good. Be cautious of abrupt drop offs on edges of the course in various locations, especially the Lower below Cullen’s due to sled packing operations and off-course adjustments from losing many of the course markers as a result of the bounty of snowfall this season. Areas of drifting also exist on the Lower below Cullen’s. Enjoy!

Soldier Hollow
4-6 more inches of snow overnight are currently covering last night’s full groom job. They will surely be out again but showing up first thing isn’t recommended for those whole like corduroy. Peak snowpack in March (or will it actually be April this year like the high mountains) in amounts I’ve never seen before make the winter wonderland here a sight to behold! In my memory are years where we closed a week from now due to bare ground despite snowmaking. Inconceivable!
White Pine
Another 4+ inches overnight on top of yesterday’s snow. This snow globe thing is getting a little intense. How about a sunny day dance instead of a snow dance today? Trails are being groomed, track set and will be open. Soft conditions will continue today. 3k, 5k and Armstrong first, Farm later. Be aware of soft and some sticky conditions. Well waxed skis glide well.. Ski safe, drive safe and enjoy the winter wonderland! Blue might be the order for wax. There is a lot of moisture and depth in the snow. Classic will be fantastic, skate will be quite nice if the sun comes out for a while.
We’ll try to open the Thaynes parking today. Park City plows have made quite a mountain in the adaptive skier parking and a significant ramp to get up on to the snow. Parking is available in the Hotel Park City lot (don’t forget to go around the corner) and underground during the day. Nordic parking only.
