Solitude Nordic

G’day Solitude Nordic Skiers,

Great news on this gorgeous day – all trails are groomed! We are forecasted for some late evening snow with some breezy conditions, but until then, blue skies and crisp trails.

Cheers!

Spruces

Groomed Spruces and Jordan Pines this morning. Added a few fun surprises as well. No classic track yet as I’m still waiting on machine repairs. But its freshly rolled and a very nice day. Come on up.

Good Morning Jeremy Ranch Nordic Skiers,

Today is opening day! We have groomed the skate and set the classic on the lower track and are currently doing the same on the upper track. The conditions today are great and will soften up with warmer temperatures throughout the afternoon. Come ski the track and get set up with a Nordic Season Pass! We have rentals for classic and skate available. We also have classic and skate equipment for sale.

Have a great day out there,
Jeremy Ranch Nordic Center

Solitude Nordic

Good morning folks,

All of our trails have been groomed within the last 24 hours. We did get roughly 4″ of snow yesterday afternoon after the morning grooming was complete. Grooming was not performed this morning due to mechanical issues.

Cullen and I groomed this morning, Friday the 9th. Couple inches of fresh snow from yesterday. We put new skate and classic down on the Main, Mitten, lollipop, kids cut off, and Creek. Skating and classic should be good today, albeit a little soft. Classic had a few spots where ground showed through but 99% should be good.

well, the was interesting… After a convoluted mess of discussion, we think the Park City Council may have approved some limited parking hours on Thaynes Canyon Drive. We are working with the city to figure out exactly what they meant and will let everyone know when we find out. We’ll try to get the area posted and open as soon as we can. Please continue to carpool and be wary of verbal assaults from the neighbor. Have your phone ready to record your interactions.

Please ignore the “no right turn” sign on Thaynes. It is perfectly legal to access the Hotel and the Nordic Center at all hours to the best of our knowledge.

Oh yeah, skiing. The track is in great shape. 3k, 5k and Armstrong are wonderful skiing. Small chance of snow today as well. We are prepping the Farm for grooming, but please stay off until we post it open. There are unmarked hazards and you don’t want to break a ski or your nose the first month of the season.

Thank you for your support. It has been a very challenging time with politics so far this season and your kind words and efforts are greatly appreciated.

Soldier Hollow
